Chapter 17

I awoke to my stomach rumbling. I was hungry and can't remember the last time I ate anything. I felt for my belly and it was gone. I instantly jumped up.
"My babies, where are they?! " I yelled. I started yanking the cords off of me and tried to get up to walk and I fell.
I forgot that bitch shot me. If she wasn't dead for real I was going to find her and kill her myself.
"Ava, Ava calm down it is ok. " the doctor man came in and said. "You have surgery and you coded and you been shot and had a baby ripped out of you, you need to rest. " he said helping me back in bed.
"I can't rest, where is my babies? " I asked him scared.
"They are in the nicu." He said calmly.
"Once you calm down and rest we can get you to see them. "
"It's a girl what else? " I asked
"A boy. " he smiled. He sat in a chair next to me and I laid my head back in the bed.
"The slice didn't hit any major organs so surgery was successful. The bullet we were able to remove it didn't hit any major arteries. " he said, Yeah because that bitch a nurse. I thought to myself.
"Your daughter is the one that was ripped out of you. She's going to need a blood transfusion and you can't give blood because you are too weak right now and you lost an incredible amount of blood the other night. Is the father around? " he asked and soon as I wanted to open my mouth to say no. Tremaine walked in.
"Yes he is. " he said. He stood with his hands in pockets and he was pretty banged up.
"Good well can you give blood? " he asked.
Tre nodded yeah.
I didn't say nothing because my baby needed help. He was the father after all. The doctor got up to excuse his self.
"Doctor wait. Where's Charlie? The girl that came with me? " I asked she saved my life and my kids life.
"She went to get food and to check on your babies. She's only been gone 15 minutes. She'll be back up soon. She hasn't left your side all night. I convinced her she needed to eat. " he said. I nodded and turned over on my side. My leg was killing me and my incision was too.
"I'm sorry Ava. " he said quietly.
"You're still alive? "
"Yeah I guess so. "
"Well that sucks. " I said. I laughed a little.
"I understand, and I deserve that."
"You deserve more then that. Just save my baby ok? Because there's nothing to save with you and I. " I replied. I continued to stare at the wall. When Charlie walked in.
"Hey sleeping beauty, you're awake. " she said.
"Yeah I'm a little groggy. " I said. Tre excused himself and walked to give blood.
"Well I took pictures of the babies for you and they are pretty! Your son looks just like you, your daughter does too but he does way more. " she said and showed me the pictures on her phone. I cried a little because they we're pretty. I couldn't wait to hold them.
"Aww I can't wait to hold them. Thank you Charlie for being here, I know I say it a lot but I really do mean it. You saved my life last night. " I said. I thought about all of the events that occurred last night.
"That's what sisters do for each other. The bitch had it coming, thank God I thought to get that watch done that way and your purse being out there. I couldn't imagine if I got there a minute later" she said.
"Yes they do. And I know I thank you again for this. I never knew it did that, thank you again "
"What the hell is going on with everybody? I have been carrying that gun since I seen you banged up the first time you should get one. "
"I am now and Giselle is my sister and Lacy too that's what happened. Just one big circle of mess. Everybody connected some type of way."
"Wait they're both your sisters?! " she looked shocked. I nodded
"I just found out about Giselle myself last night, but I knew about Lacy forever. I didn't say anything to protect her and me too for real. So I made her my best friend. But I see she's a snake too and I'll get my hands on her too. " I said. I wanted revenge from every body and I would get that sooner or later.
"That's really crazy. I called your parents because they blew up my phone to get to you, the police contacted them as well. I even believe your brother and sister is coming. "
She said.
Omg. I don't feel like hearing a lecture from anyone. Not Chase, especially not Hailey.
"Oh god, just have my father come back here, make everybody wait on there, and no one sees my babies before me ok besides you. "
She nodded and got up to report it to the charge nurse. She closed the door behind her and I dozed off to sleep while I could sleep anyway........
