Jesse Pov:

Green leaves, bushes, and trees could be seen for miles. The thick vines becoming annoying as it got in my way. I went on an adventure by myself considering everyone else was too busy and also because I needed to clear my head.

The stress of running Beacon town had snuck up on me recently and adventuring into the unknown helped me relax.

I turned around and saw the sunset. Purple and pink stretched over the horizon leaving me in awe. I quickly snapped out of it and continued to look for the ancient treasure.

It was supposed to be somewhere around here. Ivor told me that it was hidden really well so I always scanned the area at least twice before moving on. 

Although I wish the others were here too. I let out a sigh at the thought. I took out my enchanted diamond sword cutting the vines in my way. The aqua light shone brighter as it got darker.

I looked up at the dark sky. The constellations spread out across the sky along with the bright moon. I took lighter steps gracefully leaping over a mossy log and landing into a patch of scattered leaves. 

What I didn't know was that it was a trap for animals. I rope trapped my ankle and I was pulled upside down. My hair started dangling as the wind blew. 

Now I was just annoyed. I took out my diamond sword. My hands wrapped around it with the tightest grip possible.

I learned to have the tightest grip a while ago or else things could get messy. I started cutting the rope around my ankle.

I started to hear the rope ripping apart which was good for me. I cut the last of the rope and I fell down. Luckily, I wasn't that high so it didn't hurt much when I landed.

I untied the rope around my ankle and threw it in frustration. I got up and ran leaping over mossy logs, slashing the vines in my way, and avoiding mobs. 

I tripped over a log and fell into a hole. The twigs ripping parts of my clothes, sticks making deep gashes in my arm, and vines wrapping around me.

The vines broke my fall leaving me grateful. I slashed the vines that trapped my legs so I could get free. I landed on the dirt the vines now hanging loosely. 

I looked at the gashes on my arms which were bleeding uncontrollably and burned as if a million bees just stung me. I grit my teeth as the pain sunk in.

I got up bracing myself and ripped a part of my pants that was already tattered. I wrapped it around my arm which immediately turned bloodstained at contact.

I walked into a deeper part of the ditch which was dimly lit. Vines hung loosely covering the entrance which I just ducked under.

The room was filled with riches. Gold, iron, and diamond was scattered every where. Chiseled quartz lined parts of the wall while the rest was cracked stone. I figured it was pretty old considering the cracked stone.

I stood there in awe for a minute before walking towards the center. I saw a diamond podium which had something really rare on it. 

It was a ruby one of the rarest minerals! The ruby was scarlet and very shiny. I grabbed it from the podium which started sinking into the floor and my first instinct was to run. I ran out of the room as fast as I could. 

The floor started to violently shake almost causing me to topple over. I leapt into the dirt and at that moment the whole floor of the room I was just in collapsed sending chills up my spine.

The ruby was a few centimeters away from me. I hastily picked it up gazing into the glossy gem. I put it in my inventory and then my arm began to sting and instantly I wrapped my other arm around it which was also injured, but not as bad.

I went back to where I had fell earlier looking up for a way out. Luckily there were vines on the wall which were was an escape route for me.

I took my time as I climbed up the vines careful not to put any real pressure on my really bad arm. It took a while before I reached the top. 

The sun shone brightly like a lamp that just turned on. I sighed in relief that it was day. Now I didn't need to worry about running into mobs. 

I started my journey back to Beacon town with a shiny ruby in my hand......
