Onwards with the story!
Third person (omniscient) POV
Kara and Alice drove a long way to try to get to where they needed to go. After Zlatko died, Luther stayed behind to keep things in order and help the others. That left Kara and Alice to go and find Rose by themselves, having a car that was good for a short while.
After a while of driving, the car gave up and things turned sour. The wind howled and snow whipped at the world like it was a grandmaster in a circus. "Okay Alice, we have to find somewhere to go for the night. The car is no longer able to be of use to us" Kara said, observing the outside as things picked up.
After a short while of walking, the two females came upon a closed theme park like area. It was eerie, dark, and mysterious but they had nowhere else to go. "I'll protect you" Kara whispered to Alice as they approached the eerie place hand in hand. "I'm scared Kara" Alice said, gripping Kara's hand even tighter in fear. Kara didn't comment as she looked around as they walked, wanting to get out of the storm that raged in the night. 'Where could we shelter to for the night?' Kara thought to herself as Alice shook slightly. In all honesty, the girls didn't understand why Luther decided to stay back at the place Zlatko was.
The place would give them nightmares, if it were possible. They came upon a building that would work as suitable shelter, seeing as it was better than being in the storm late at night. "Let's go Alice" Kara said quietly as they made their way to the building, looking around to see if there was anything helpful inside.
"A fireplace and spare blankets..." Kara whispered as she seen the dark inside seemingly empty. The coast seemed clear and so she found a way inside, bringing Alive along as she looked around suspiciously for any other signs of life.
"Still warm..." Kara noted as she touched the blankets and looked at the fireplace that has just a faint glow of light. She got up, ready to take what was needed and then leave until a glass broke from behind her. Alice and Kara both turned quickly to see what had happened and saw a person behind them.
He watched both Alice and Kara, careful as not to make the two in front of him aggressive in some way. "I'm sorry, we didn't know anyone was here" Kara explained as he looked up at them, (eye color) eyes reflecting the faint glow of the burning embers in the fire place. He didn't respond, instead going towards them as they backed up.
He was at least 6'0 compared to Kara, who was only 5'9 and she felt slightly threatened by him. As they walked backwards, he sped up his pace and when they thought he was going to become hostile he went past them and towards the fireplace. Kara looked confused as Alice simply stuck to her while the male worked on putting more firewood in the fire place. "It's alright, you can crash here" he said, not turning to look at either of the two.
"Really?" Kara asked, hope swelling within her as she felt happy about getting help. "Yeah. Just don't make me regret it" he responded as he stood up, stretching stretching as his long sleeve shirt strained against his muscles. "What's your names?" He asked, turning to the two as Alice hesitated to even look at him. "I'm Kara, and this is Alice" Kara said, gesturing to the child holding onto her side for dear life.
