I wrote this one because things are starting to go bad again and I need a distraction. It's late at night, can't sleep and I just need it because right now, I just can't-

(Name)

The rain... How I loved it so. When it rained, I felt a bit of weight shift lighter because I knew... That sometimes mother nature had to cry as well. That just like the rest of us, she felt the pain of just existing and that alone was enough to break someone.

I stared out the window, longing for a happiness I had yet to feel. An emotion that could help me be better, to throw away this pain of just... Existing without life. I'm existing and surviving, not living. That fact hurt me, seeing as I hadn't had those times to feel alive. I've only ever survived, and if that wasn't enough... A feigned happiness made it all worse when you smile but inside you knew you were lying. And today, was one of those days.

I curled up on the windowsill and folded my arms on my knees. I stared outside, feeling a familiar pain again and letting my pain slip out. I was convinced I was alone, and that nobody was here to witness my weakness. To witness me being pathetic and worthless. I wanted to let it all out, because I felt I'd never have another chance like this again so I cried. I cried tears for sorrows, tears for loss, tears for loneliness, and tears for the days when the buzzing thoughts of how I'll never be good enough.

I hiccuped a bit, choking back my ugliest cries as I dug my nails into my palm and continued my silent crying. I put my face inside the comfort cry area of my arms and I let more warm, salty tears spill. Because today was one of those days where I felt that a good cry after so many pent up emotions were fighting to get out.

Perhaps mother nature knee that today was a great day for tears to spill and hearts to hurt... And maybe it was-

"Hey" a calm voice said, making me immediately choke back more tears and small sounds of despair. "Yeah?" I ask, not looking up at who I presumed to be Josh, because only Josh was this sweet when letting me know of his presence. "I sense... Sadness. What's wrong, (Name)?" Josh asked worriedly, his footsteps getting closer to where I am.

"It's nothing of importance" I say in the most normal voice I could muster, which in reality was a broken and tired voice. I felt his hand on my head, making me feel slightly awkward that he had his hand on my head like I was some sort of dog.

"Talk to me, I don't like seeing you so... So-" "weak, pitiful, helples-" "-broken" he answered, putting an end to my words of insult upon myself. But... It was true though, how I was so pitiful and weak right now. Such a disgusting sight to see, when your tears benefit nobody at all.

"I don't want you to suffer through this alone, I'm here" He cooed, pulling me in for a hug even though I was still in my ball. "I'm fine, just-" "you are hurt and suffering emotionally. I won't stand by and let you do this to yourself, you have too much meaning to me" Josh said while hugging me tight. I uncurled a bit and he had me lay my head on his chest as he pulled me up so he could sit on the windowsill with us both there.

"Now will you talk to me?" He asked me. I shook my head, laying my head on his chest but not hinting at any other type of contact. I didn't want to look him in the eye... Afraid that I'd be compelled to spill everything out to him with only a certain look reflecting in his eyes. "I just... You being here, is enough" I say, watching the rain slightly let up a bit. "I'll be here all that you need" Josh said, kissing my hair and nuzzling me.

He began to run his fingers through my hair, making my tears not come as much but they did come a little bit. I was content with not being ok, yet I had someone who was here to let me cry on their shoukder if needed be. "Just relax here, love. It's ok to not feel okay. But just know I'll be here when you aren't feeling okay" Josh whispered softly as the rain died down.

My eyes closed and I was halfway in rest. I heard Josh humming, me not paying attention much. "Lean on me... When you're not strong. I'll be your friend. I'll help you carry on" he quietly sang before I went to sleep from the exhaustion of crying.

  "Lean on me" he whispered.

That was short and idk. I just needed a distraction. That's... That's all, and this one came to mind. This type I should say. I probably have mistakes in there but I'll fix them... Later But it's done and a one shot's a one shot so yeah... I'll update when I feel like I can do something again or when I find more motivation.

See you guys later...
