-Melody's POV
"Calum and his parents are on their way!" I could barley hold my excitement.
"Nice dear, but are you sure you'd want to wear that?" Mum asked as she entered the room eyeballing me.
I looked down at my outfit.
I wore an appropriate length black pencil dress. It wasn't to tight, or loose, with no shoes, since the carpet was white and newly streamed as in this morning.
"Excuse me." I said, making my way to the bathroom, to check my appearance.
I looked in the elongated mirror attached on the back of the door.
My make up was fine too, nothing to dark, just a simple cat eye, with a very light red lipstick. As for my hair. it was straightend and my bangs parted straight down the middle, both pulled aside and tucked behind my ears.
I took in a deep breathe and made my way to the dinning area, which was directly next to the kitchen, where Mum hired a chief to make a three course meal that consisted of a roasted chicken, a Caesar salad, and mashed potatoes.
Ding!
"Their here!" I quickly walked to the front door, in hope that Mum nor Dad has opened the door to greet them.
But of course, luck is never in my favor.
"Why you must be the 'Hoods'. Come in please" Dad announced.
Mum and Dad moved aside for Calum and his family to enter.
"Oh! But your shoes, please take off. You can set them at the door." Mum quickly pleaded.
"Of course." Mrs.Hood said.
They all came in after taking off their shoes, setting them aside. And my god did Calum look good.
I approached the adults and my boyfriend, "Hello." I smiled,
"Melody, you look very pretty with your hair straightened." Mrs.Hood smiled.
"Why thank you. Mr, and Mrs. Hood, these are my parents-"
"Julia Saylor."
"And I'm Charles Saylor."
