-Melody's POV
I parked a couple spaces from Calum once I spotted his jeep.
"Do you want to stay here?" I asked Lauren as I got out the car.
"No, I'm coming with."
I sped through the parking lot, and made my way over to the lake.
"Slow down."
"I can't."
We approached our spot.
You could practically hear the chatter and noise coming from them.
"WHERE ARE YOU?! AND IM SO SORRY! I CANNOT SLEEP. I CANNOT DREAM TONNIGGHHHT!" I heard someone yell.
I walked a bit closer to distinguish a conversation to which I heard Calum's voice in.
"She was literally perfection, I mean. Yea. That's what I mean."
I could his words slur.
"Yea but. Perfection doesn't cheat dude. " That was Michael. "Plush. Plus I'm pretty sure she's doing fine."
You could tell they were all drunk.
I began to walk to Calum and stand before him til I heard him yell.
"HEY! NO... She's hurting as much as meh. I - I can feel it."
He still cares.
I turned to face Lauren in hope that she heard what I did.
It was too dark to make out an accurate facial expression. But she pushed me into view, causing me to fall into the bushes to make noise.
"Ummpff." I fell into the ground.
"Who's that?!" Luke stopped yelling and looked around.
"Hey...." I said sheepishly.
"Is that?" Michael started.
"Melody?" Calum asked coming closer for insurance.
"Hey Calum."
"Wut are you doing here?" He asked shocked.
"I'm here. I'm here to apologize and explain."
We stood there facing each other, as the crickets played in the back ground.
"Go."
"Leave?"
"No, explain."
"Earlier. What you seen wasn't what it looked like."
He nodded for me to continue.
"Luke-"
"Yes?" Luke H. Asked.
"Not you, a different Luke. The guy from earlier."
"Boooo!" Michael yelled.
"Luke. He was a clients son. My parents told me if I go on a date and convince him move here since the decision is his they'd give me a cut of the profit that they'll make once the deals closed, and that id be empancipated a year early."
"Really?" Calum asked dumb foundly.
"It's true. She told me earlier." Ashton nodded in agreement as he sipped from his can.
Calum looked at Michael and then to me.
"Told you that she wasn't all those bad words you said earlier."
"Yea."
Bad words?
Calum walked to me stumbling in the process. "Melody." He mumbled into my hair.
"Calum." I replied back.
" I lub you." He breathed out.
I giggled at his mispronunciation, "I love you too."
Every one awwed and clapped off beat.
Lauren came into view, "Okay, okay lets get you guys home. Mel give me your keys and ill drop Ashton, Luke, and Michael home, and you can drop off Calum in his car."
I tossed her my keys and smiled, "A dream come true for you eh?"
"Indeed." She laughed.
"Come on you three."
They flocked to her, as they all began to flirt with her.
"Im mickey. Wait no I'm mikey."
"Ash. I play drums."
"My Luke name is Hi."
She turned to face me. "Now it really is."
"Let's get you home as soon as possible Cal."
"Okie."

We entered Calum's house. The lights were out.
"Sssshhh...."
"Hey. Its usually the other way around." He smirked.
I layed him on the couch.
"Do you want any water or ibuprofen? " I asked him quietly.
"No.... just lay with me please."
I obeyed and got on the couch with him and cuddled.
Minutes passed, and Calum spoke half way into his slumber for the night.
"Today seemed like some twisted dream..... all I want to do is hold you closer than I've did before, so you'll never slip away." He murmured.
