" My parents are coming home! " I yell. I'm happy and dreadful. I'm happy they're coming home because I finally get to at least see them, I'm dreadful because they barely even acknowledge me. Its sad to live so close with someone yet them so distant.

" Melly that's great! " Adam says smiling. I smile back. Adam and I may be friends but I am not ready to break down my walls and tell him everything. I don't trust anyone for a reason.

Kat made me come home because Amy and Michelle were fighting over who gets to eat Ethan's face off. Ethan was in the bathroom during all this time. Amy and Michelle just left.

" Okay so hun, your parents arrive here tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. So please be ready by 7. And look nice or they will have a cow. " Kat says.

I scoff, " as if they'll even notice me. "

Kat gives me a look of pity. Ethan comes and puts his arm around my shoulder. I lean into him. Out of everyone I know, Ethan and Kat are the only ones I trust whole heartily.

Now you may have wondered why I'm using such colorful language. I woke up at 7:45.

That's almost like sending my head to the Myans.

I woke up to my parents barging into my room demanding why I wasn't dressed and ready for their arrival.

" Now young lady tell me why you weren't down there. " My mother demands.

" I slept late. I'm sorry. "

" As if. I think you just didn't want to see us. You have been ignoring us lately. "

That's where I lose it. " Me? I've been ignoring you? Please. I tried calling you for the last two months. You never answered and never called me back. You wouldn't face time me. You basically pretend I don't exist. And let me tell you something, it hurts. I wish I had real parents. The ones who actually care for you. But that's never going to happen is it Susan and Zach? " I say. Tears are running down my face by now. Also in case ya didn't get this, Susan and Zach are my parents.

They both look at me sternly. No emotion in their face whatsoever. That's when I realize they aren't going to say anything. They will scold me.

I get up and start off toward my bathroom. " Where do you think your going? " My father says.

" To the bathroom to get dressed, because as soon as I'm out, I'm leaving here. You guys wanna treat me like shit. I'm not sticking around for this. " I say. Kat nods her head understanding, and Ethan does too. Meanwhile my parents are glaring at me.

" You can't leave unless we say so. " My mom says arrogantly.

" Wanna bet? "

" You leave this house and you are cut off. " My dad says in a threatening tone.

I scoff. As if they'll do that. " Yeah right. You would never do that because it will ruin your image. I can imagine the headlines now, ' The Smarts cut off their only daughter because she left the house without their permission. ' Yeah real smart. " I say looking them both in the eye.

Both my parents gulp. " Well at least be home by 7 tonight. We are having a business party. Dress appropriately. You too Ethan. " My parents say and walk out of the room.
