Maggie's POV

The next thing hit me like lightning...

"Oh Yes, Luna Maggie, or should I say Queen Maggie." The king said. My heart sank, I am the rightful queen. My eyes widened in shock and my pack gasped. "What?" I ask, still in complete shock. "Ah yes, your parents never did get the chance to tell you, their death so fast. That 'accident' was so tragic." He said with quotations around the word accident.

I fell to my knees as realization hit me. "You... You killed them." I said as I slowly look up at him from my previous actions of looking at the ground. He let out a evil chuckle with his son.. my mate.. right beside him. By the look on his face I knew he could feel my emotions. And in one second a evil grin made its way to my face. All of the kings men gasped and took a step back. Even the king himself took a step back. I stood up with that evil grin on my face and they took another step back.

I looked directly into the kings eye's and then my eyes moved to Kyle.. his son.. my mate.. He looked deep into my eyes and in seconds was on the ground in a ball. I released all my emotions, letting them spread though him. Crippling him with the anger, sadness, loneliness, hurt, betrayal, love, and every other emotion I had bottled up. I squatted down and forcefully grabbed his chin making him look at me. I hesitated for a second before I heard Eva, "Do it." Was all she said. "I, Maggie McClellan, Reject you, Kyle Mason, as my mate." With that said I stood up and told them if they were not off my property in 5 seconds, that they would be dead. And they took the warning, and left. Guards carried Kyle away since he was gasping for air from the pain of my emotions and the rejection.

I watched them turn leave and then turn around to my pack. When I did, every one of them was on one knee bowing. I gasped at the sight. "Stop it right now! I am your Luna and you will treat me no differently." I ordered. Everyone got up and was either smiling or giggling/chuckling. I motioned for them to go inside.

We got inside and I went straight to my office. After hours of paperwork, there was a knock at the door. "Come in" I called. And in came a very sad and depressed Julian and Connor. "They were supposed to be best friends.." Said Eva I let out a sigh and stood up from my seat and walked over to them. Once I wrapped my arms around them they both crumbled. We ended up on the couch in my office, one on each side of me crying. "Why! Why did he betray us! Why Did he do this!" They kept crying out, over and over again. And I had no answers.

Hours passed and the boys had fell asleep. I picked their heavy butts up and slowly walked to their rooms, THANK GOD THEIR ON THE SAME FLOOR! I screamed in my head. Once I put them in their rooms and covered them up, I whipped away their tears, and the tear stains so that they will hopefully have a better morning. With that I went to my room, did my nightly duties and layed down. The moment my head touched the pillow I cried. I ended up crying myself to sleep. I lost my Alpha, MY friend, and My mate. In the matter of minutes. Along with that, I have a grieving pack, and my Luna duties, School, homework, and training. My life just got harder. My life just turned upside down.

Why does everything good get ripped away from me?
