Ghost Pack

Chapter 19

Alexander's POV

Both wolfs stalked outside to a field in the back of the house. Without any option, my parents, Mazani and I went outside with the rest of their pack. Once outside Mazani and I pushed our way to the front of the circle that was now around the two wolves. The member, brown wolf, started circling Maggie, the most beautiful blood red wolf I've ever seen. Two of the guys from the equipment room, the ones that came in after we had the first one, came to stand beside me and Mazani.

They looked at each other from each side of us and nodded. "Hello I'm Connor and this is Julian, We are Maggie's Beta and Gamma." The dusty blonde haired guy said. So his name is Connor and red head is Julian. Nice to know. "So she's your Luna?" Mazani asked, they both nodded. I looked back at the wolves in front of me, The brown haired wolf lunged at Maggie. "This isn't gonna end well." Julian said. My eyebrows furrowed as I kept watching. Maggie moved slightly and ended up dodging the attack. The brown wolf stumbled a little, and you could tell he was drunk. He launched himself at Maggie and missed. Then two of the other members screamed, not in pain or being scared, but in excitement. They were starting to root, betting on who was going to win. The scream made Maggie snap her head in that direction. With her preoccupied, the brown wolf attacked again. This time her jaw clamped down on Maggie's neck. Due to the color of her fur I couldn't tell if she was bleeding or not. Maggie's eyes take over a emotion that looks as if it belonged there. As if it had lived there for her entire life, sadness. Sadness took over her eyes. Everyone gasps and starts to get into defense mode. Julian and Connor relaxed slightly a moment after they went to defense mode. "She's making us stay out of it." a member growled form behind me. My parents looked at each other and shared a look of pity. Then Mazani Mind linked me. "Its now a fight to the death." He's right. Since he drew blood on his Luna, its now a fight to the death.

Then Maggie threw her head toward the brown wolf and effectively knocking him lose. Then she lunged at him. Her jaws slide over the other wolves neck, but she didn't bit down. She let out the growl that shook the earth. The wind seemed to pick up, and everything, the people here.. even the animals and the trees stop moving. No one was breathing. The brown wolf coward at the sound. He let out a whimper, and laid himself down on the ground. He curled up into a ball, and she drew back. She took two steps back, and growled again. This one went straight threw me and made my insides tremble. She barred her teeth at the guy but didn't attack. Two members ran inside.The guy coward farther into the ground and lowered his head. Then the two members came back out, one with a dress and the other with a pair of shorts. The dress was handed to two ladies and the shorts were handed to a guy. Maggie stepped back and waited.. starring at the brown wolf. Soon the brown wolf shifted back and quickly put on the shorts. Then Maggie shifted and as soon as it was safe the two ladies with the dress slipped it over her head. It was a simple white dress that dragged slightly on the ground.

Her hair blonde hair cascaded down her back. The white dress hugged her curves, yet was lose enough that it just slipped down her body. She was beautiful. "TAKE HIM TO THE BASEMANT! Put him in a cell till he sobers up!" She orders. Then she walks up to Julian and Connor. "Anything that is broken will be cleaned up by him, and he will be on clean up duty for the next 2 weeks." She says. God she's nice. Anyone who would have went against me, would have died. Yet not only did she let him live, but she didn't even hurt him. She put him on clean up duty! For God's sake! Mazani puts his hand on my shoulder and looks at me, "Calm down, your anger is starting to show." He mind linked. I took a deep breath and relaxed. "I just don't understand her." I said back.

Then I watched as she came up to my parents, Mazani, and I. "I'm sorry that you had to witness that. What can I do to make it up to you?" She asked. My parents waved her off. "OH hun don't worry about it! You remind me so much of your mother." Mom said with a small smile. "Dear? Where is your alpha? We came to welcome you. We didn't realize that we were coming to a pack, or we probably would have brought more men." Dad said laughing. Maggie smiled this beautiful smile that captured me. I started to fight the pull I had to her. "She's your mate! Why are you fighting this!" Adam scolded me. I mentally rolled my eyes, and followed as Maggie walked us into the house but didn't answer dad's question. Annoyance flash across dad's face as she didn't answer him. She lowered her head slightly as she walked inside.

She refused to meet anyone's eyes after dad asked that question. "Why don't you stay, I'll make dinner and you can eat with us. I'm making spaghetti." She says after we reach the living room on the other side of the house. My parents nod. Then she disappearing to what I assume to be the kitchen.

Julian and Connor came into the room laughing. A older couple came in as Maggie had left and was talking to my parents. "Yo man! Come with us! We're going to the game room!" Julian exclaims. Mazani jumps up and practically runs after them as they walk away. I chuckle and follow them. Once we get to the room Mazani and Julian run to the stations and start up a game. Connor and I sit on the couch and watch. "So what did y'all do that up set Luna?" Connor said, in a bitter sweet tone. "My dad asked about your alpha, she didn't answer and just walked away." I replied.

"Ah yea, you probably wont get that out of her." Julian says. "Why? What happened?" Mazani asked. "Well Maggie moved here a while before we got here, she inherited the place from her parents. You see she wasn't brought up in the werewolf world. She was actually raised by humans. Her and Moon
Goddess have a good relationship. Well My original pack was the Whitefire pack. Our newest alpha had just taken down our old one, our newest's name was Kyle, and a year or so after he got there. The king kicked us off our land. Forcing us to go rogue. The pack stayed together for the most part, and our alpha lead us here cause it was supposedly free territory. When we got here we met Maggie, and Kyle and Maggie were mates, but don't get her wrong. Shes a special person. According to Moon Goddess, she has up to three mates. Because she is a special wolf. She didn't elaborate on what that means exactly. Well a little while back, right when school started, at least for us. Kyle acted weird all day. When we got home he started fighting with Maggie. Then the king showed up. It turns out that Kyle is the kings son. The king and him tried to take over the pack, yet Maggie fought back. The pack is Maggie's by law and not Kyle's. Kyle only had power over the pack if he was connected to Maggie. Maggie unleashed all her emotions, and I mean everything! Then with that pain that went through the link they had, even though they hadn't mated or marked each other, she intensified it.." He told me. "How?" Mazani asked as he had listened intently. "She rejected him." Julian finished. My eyebrows shot up and my mouth dropped open. She rejected her mate? That must have hurt like hell. "She left him laying on the ground in a ball of pain. The king's guards had to carry him away. While Maggie walked away as if nothing harmed her." Julian said again. I nodded, still gob struck by the information.

"So there is no alpha?" I asked. "Nope!" Julian said as he went back to the game with Mazani. I stood up and walked to the door. "Don't hurt her alpha alexander!" Connor hollered over his shoulder. With that I walked away to the kitchen, on a mission to talk to Maggie.
