chapter 23

Alex's POV
   I was yanked out of my dreamless sleep as I was pulled into a open field. And i turned Around Looking but I was the only one there.
    "Hello?!" I called, my voice echoing throughout the field. "Is anyone there? Where am i?" I called out my questions.
    "Hello child." A angelic voice says from behind me. I whip around and see the moon goddess. I fell to one knee and bowed my head. "No no child stand. Please." I did as asked and stood. "You are still asleep son, dont worry. I called you here to talk to you about your mate." Moon Goddess explains.
     "Maggie? What about her? Is she ok?" My heart began to race and I was sent on edge. "Oh shes fine. But its more about the future. A war is coming. And she cant fight alone. She must take the throne back." She continues. "Many deaths are to come. Your mate has tricks up her sleeve. Tricks that will help win the war. They are called the Ghost pack for a reason." She goes on with a smile.
    "But sadly I fear that the king will play dirty. I need you to promise to keep her safe. She is my daughter and she is very special. That moment where you almost died... You saw it. You saw it within the growl. You saw it when she denied the kings son." She finishes. "Yes Moon Goddess. But what exactly is she? Is she a goddess? Like you? Or is she something else?" I ask. "Ah yes. She does not know this. But she is part witch. She has magic but its hard to tap into. Thats what you saw yesterday. Her magic was coming out. I gave her 3 mates. Her first was supposed to unlock her magic. But somehow is didnt work." She stops looking down with confusion on her face. I cock my head to the side. "I thought witchs died out way before our time." I stated. "Ah yes but dont doubt her. She will use it when needed."
     "Its time for you to go. Our time is up. Im sorry I cant explain it all. I know you have many questions, but the answers will come in time." She states and before I can reply I wake up in bed with Maggie next to me.
     Her eyes flutter open and slowly she turns to face me. "Good morning" she says her voice laced with sleep. "Good morning beautiful." I watched as she closed her eyes, and the smell of her arousal filled me. "Do it!" Adam yelled. I pushed him back and kissed Maggie's cheek. With that she smiled and rolled out of bed... Onto the floor... With a thud. I couldnt help the laugh that escaped me. I threw myself back onto the bed and laughing. A full belly laugh. After a few minutes I started to calm down. I went to help her up, but when I looked over. All i could see were her eyes as the covers layed on her head and She was glaring at me. With that I went into another fit of laughter.
    I watched through squinted eyes as she got up and went into the bathroom shaking her head.
    A few minutes later she came out in leggings, an a tank top. I could just make out a sports bra under it. She slid on a pair of trainers.
    Then she did something I wasnt expecting. She walked over to me and quickly kissed my lips before walking out of the bedroom. I layed there stunned by her actions for I dont know how long.
    "Dude we gotta go! We are gonna be late for training. And whats with the smile." Mazani said from the door. Like a robot I got outta bed walked down stairs, outside, and got in the truck. We drove home, I showered, changed, and went outside to train. Everything went by and I didnt even notice. It was like I wasnt even there. Like i was still back at Maggie's, in her bed, and her lips still on mine.
    "Alex!" "Alex!" Mazani was yelling at me. I snapped out of it. And tripped, as I was half way up the stairs. I turned and glared at him as he laughed and finished goes upstairs and into my office.
     "We can go back later. Julian and Connor invited us over to play video games and hang out." Mazani calls from the door. My smile grew and I started on paperwork. I get to see her again before Monday.

Maggie's POV
     I walked out after giving him a kiss. A smile was on my face. He was ok. My people were ok. Life was good. I went downstairs. Made a small breakfast, and went to get ready to train. "Alpha Alexander is leaving with his parents and beta." One of my guards informs me. Sending back a thank you, i went on a run. And was back just in time for training. Everything went by smoothly. "Luna?" One of my members mindlinked. "Yes?" "Can i be let out of the cells?" Ohhhhh yeaaaaaa idiot. I walked down to the cells with Julian an Connor behind me. "You know... I should have killed you. Any other pack would have you sentinced to death." I stated as i looked through the bars of the cell. "I understand luna and I am so sorry. It will not happen again i promise." He begged. "I know. You are to clean up the mess caused by your shifting inside, then you are on cleaning duty for the next 2 weeks. No one else will be cleaning. You will clean every room and all the dishes. And since you arent in school you have extra time. I expect it to be done and I expect it to be done well." I stated in monotone. He nodded his head with a series of "Yes Luna." "Thank you Luna." We let him go and went back to our daily duties. I was once again... Stuck in paper work. "Shit!" I shouted. I forgot I have a meeting next weekend. Gosh dang it! "Guys I have to travel next weekend to Florida for a business meeting." I sent through mindlink to Julian and Connor. "Are we coming?" They replied at the same time. "No I need at least one of you here for the pack, but I would like one person to come with me. If you could figure out who then that would be much appreciated." Not a few minutes later Julian, my beta, says "ill go with you." "Thank you." A few hours later I was finished with paper work and wanted to hang with some of the members. "If you need anything contact Julian or Connor, i am turning off luna mood for a bit." I said through the pack mind link. I was walking to the game room to beat some buttssssssss in GTA when little arms wrapped around my leg.
   "Hey muffin!" I exclaimed as I picked him up. He let out a giggle and wrapped his arms around my neck "hi mag" he said. "Want to watch me beat these boys in GTA?" I asked. He let out another giggle and nodded his head. We walked in and sat on one of the bean bags. Jacob was on my lap, my arms were around him with the controller in my hands. Playing GTA with the other pack members is awesome. I love hanging out with them.
