I walked along the roads in Velaris, arm hooked through Mor's, both of us laughing and chatting. The war was over, even though I still had nightmares, but Rhys was always there to help me though it. It was wintertime, and the Winter Solstice was coming up, which was my favorite time of year in Velaris. Mor and I sipped hot cocoa as we tried to find presents for our family.

"Ooh!" Mor suddenly squealed. "I'm going to go check out that shop." She pointed to a small shop that looked like it was selling jewelry. I laughed.

"Have fun. I'm going to the artist side of town." She smiled at me and took off.

I walked to the Rainbow, going through various paint stores and buying things I needed here and there. I stopped at the studio I painted at to say hello to the manager and some of my friends who were painting there. I wasn't sure what to get Rhys. I had already bought presents for everyone else. For Azriel, I got some armor pieces he needed, and a Siphon looking jewel to put on his sword. For Cassian, I got a blade sharpener - as he was always complaining how his blade was dull - and a new mat for his personal training ring. For Amren I got this beautiful pair of gold and amethyst teardrop earrings, with a necklace to match. I got Mor a blue dress which had shifting hues to make the skirt look like waves. My sisters had adjusted to living with us, and both of them had rooms in the house. I got Nesta a few books I knew she would enjoy and a coat that matched many of her outfits and was quite warm. I had gotten Elain a wrap to wear in the garden to keep her warm and a rare moonlight plant that was pure white and glowed. It was extremely rare and very beautiful. Lucien was off in Vassa's court but I had sent him a fresh pair of Illyrian leathers and blades, knowing his must be worn out by now. But I had no idea what to get Rhys.

Feyre darling? Can you come home now? I miss you. I laughed.

I'll be home soon, Rhys. I sent down the bond. Just have to pick up a few things.

Why can't you come now? He whined.

If you stop whining I'll stop at a very special store which we both enjoy. I replied, internally smirking at him. He immediately shut up. I quickly turned around with my bags of paint and picked up all the presents I had bought today. I refused to carry them around when I was with Mor because I knew that she would look to see what she got. I also stopped by the lingerie store and bought a black coat-like wrap which was so sheer it showed off the undergarments. It was adorned with small white diamonds which made it look like the night sky. Once I got home I heard my sisters, Amren, Mor, Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys all laughing and chatting in the sitting room. I slipped up to my painting room and set up all my supplies in the shelves. I hid all the presents in the closet, which everyone knew not to go into because I had some of my most precious paintings and drawings there. Finally I hid the new lingerie in our bedroom, to be used later after dinner. Then I finally walked down to the sitting room and slid over to sit next to Rhys.

"Finally Feyre! We've been waiting for ages!" Elain exclaimed. "Where were you?"

"Just some shopping," I said mischievously.

"Long time for 'just some shopping'," Cassian grumbled. Az just smiled knowingly and Mor chuckled. Nesta looked on silently, not smiling, but there was light and happiness in her eyes. It was nice to see. She hadn't adjusted as fast as Elain but she still was enjoyable company.

"How about some dinner?" I asked. We all made our way to the dining room, where Nuala and Cerridwen had prepared pasta in red sauce with some salad on the side. I ate heartily, and laughed at various stories and chatter. Though by the end of the meal, I wasn't feeling so well. Rhys sensed it.

Are you ok darling? He asked concerned down the bond.

I don't feel so well...I replied before jumping up and running to the bathroom and hurling up everything I had just eaten. Rhys followed immediately, holding my hair and rubbing my back. He picked me up and winnowed me to our room, and gently set me down on the bed. I heard the pounding footsteps of everyone else and heard Rhys yell, "Azriel get Madja!"

I felt very dizzy. It looked like there were two Rhysand's over me, muttering comfort. Az returned quickly with the healer, Madja, who asked everyone to clear the room, including Rhys. She used her magic to scan my whole body, sometimes touching my skin, or moving my arms. She was muttering but I couldn't figure out what she was saying. Eventually she tipped my head back and poured a bitter liquid down my throat which I swallowed. The dizziness subsided, and the nausea lessened.

"Your Highness. You are pregnant," Madja said softly smiling at me. I gasped.

"D-do you know the gender?" I asked my eyes welling up.

"Would you like to know?" she replied. I nodded. She placed her hands on my belly and shut her eyes. Madja gasped and her eyes flew open.

"What? Is it bad?" I asked concerned.

"No, Your Highness. Both babies are perfectly healthy," she smiled and I gasped. "You are having twins, milady. One boy and one girl. They will be powerful and intelligent." My eyes welled up once more and she smiled.

"Shall I let everyone in?" She asked.

"One moment," I replied, pulling myself together. I had the perfect present for Solstice for Rhys in mind. I nodded and Madja left, and Rhysand came running in.

"What's wrong? Are you hurt? Is it fatal? Will you-" I interrupted him.

"Rhysand! I'm fine. Madja said it was just something I ate. I will be fine tomorrow."

"Oh thank the Cauldron," Rhys said, relief evident on his face. I went through the same process with everyone else before retiring to bed with Rhys, the lingerie long forgotten.
