Six months into pregnancy...
Rhys and I are officially moved in to the new house, which we decided to call the High House (A/n: Cheesy name ik but I couldn't think of anything else) so we didn't confuse it for the townhouse. All my painting supplies are upstairs, and all of our belongings are in their correct spots. We hired a kitchen maid, named Cia, to help cook. I was obviously pregnant now, more obviously than one would normally be at six months, since I had two tiny humans growing inside of me. Today, Rhys decided to take a day off and help me decorate the nursery and playroom. The nursery was a large room. The walls were a neutral creme color. I painted trees all along the entire room, enlisting Karshia to help me, and Mor came to help Rhys with the heavy lifting. We painted a jungle, with little flowers and all kinds of animals. On the ceiling, we painted night sky, with little streaks of white that reminded me of Starfall. Rhys smiled when he saw them. After the paint dried (with a little help from magic), Mor and Rhys dragged in two cribs. One was pink and one was blue. They put one against each wall, and dragged a black double dresser with a changing table, and two black rocking chairs.
"There's two babies, so there needs to be two parents, which means two rocking chairs to put them to sleep," he explained, when I asked why we didn't just use one. I smiled at him. We laid down a rug shaped like a star in the center. I filled the dresser with the few clothes we had bought. The room was perfect. We had a quick lunch of cheese sandwiches and soup before we moved on to the playroom. The playroom would be used when the kids were older, old enough to play by themselves. These walls were also creme colored. Karshia and I painted the sparkling sea, and the cliffs of Velaris on these walls. I wanted my children to know what Velaris looks like. This time, we made the ceiling blue, and we painted clouds, tainted pink from the sun setting over the ocean. I was really proud of our work. Karshia was an excellent painter.
"Wow, girls," Rhys said when he walked in. "It looks amazing." Mor walked in five seconds later.
"Whoa," she said. "You guys have some serious skills. I already knew that, but still...wow." Karshia and I giggled. I had gotten to know both Karshia and Raelia over the last few months. They had become a part of the Inner Circle. Lucien hadn't gone back to Vassa's court yet because of some inter-court problems. Apparently it was a dangerous place to be right now, and Vassa told Lucien not to return until next summer. Raelia was very happy, knowing that her boyfriend wasn't going to leave anytime soon.
We set up shelves in that room, and filled them with the few toys and books Rhys and I had bought. We didn't buy a lot, knowing we would buy more as they got older. I dismissed Cia for the day, and all four of us headed back to the townhouse for dinner with the Inner Circle.
After dinner, Rhys and I went back to the High House and began talking about baby names.
"For the girl, how about Kira?" Rhys suggested.
"I like Kira. That's an option," I agreed. "How about Nisha?"
"That's nice," Rhys nodded. "But I think I like Kira better."
"I do too," I giggled. "But it's not my favorite name ever, you know?"
"I agree. I haven't even met her yet, but I know that's not her name," Rhys replied thoughtfully.
"Yeah...Anyway for the boy, how about Daniel?" I replied.
"That's nice, but I'm not feeling them you know?" I nodded. We decided that their last name's will be Archeron, because Rhysand never knew his last name. He supposedly had taken his mother's surname, but she never told him what it was. Finally we went to sleep, names bouncing around in our heads.
