The next day...
"Hey Lucien," I called. "Do you have time for a chat?"
"Yeah sure, Feyre," he said as he followed me to the living room. "What's up?"
"What are you planning on doing this week?" I asked, hoping for some hints on this girl.
"I actually decided I would go visit my father. Like Helion, my real father," he said. I had told Lucien who his real father was a long time ago. He had taken the news pretty silently, and I knew it would take him a while to digest. I was glad he was taking a step forward.
"That's a great idea! He's been wanting to get to know you for a long time."
"Yeah. I want to get know him too," he replied. I smiled approvingly.
"I've been curious about this girl you've been hanging out with. What's her name? What's she like?" Lucien laughed at my sudden eagerness.
"Her name is Raelia. She's a waitress at a cafe downtown. We've been going around, doing some casual shopping, and eating meals together. She's really nice, very pretty, and very fierce. If she believes in something, she fights for it. She's not afraid of anything. Once we passed this flash mob of children dancing and having the time of their lives, and she went ahead and joined in, pulling me with her. She's very spontaneous and fun. I like that about her," Lucien's eyes began to get far away, and I could tell her really likes this girl.
"That's amazing, Lucien. I'm happy for you. I'd like to meet her sometime. Maybe when you get back," I said joyfully. This was great. People were moving on from the war, and Velaris continued to be the happy city I knew it was. I'd helped with a lot of war clean-up, and funded many charities going to various causes. Before I got pregnant, I tried to help people get through their sadness and hardships. I hope to continue doing that.
"Absolutely. Actually I was planning to leave tomorrow," he said.
"Okay, sounds good. I can get Rhys to winnow you there."
"Thanks, that would be great!" I spent the rest of the day sitting inside, reading and drinking tea.
The next day, Rhys winnowed Lucien to the Day Court, which didn't take long, as it was our neighboring court. When Rhys came back, he took me out for a nice lunch, and then I convinced him to let me help him with his political work.
Wednesday, Day of Mor's Date...
Mor's P.O.V.
I woke up excited, happy for my date today. I ate my breakfast in a hurry, then dragged the three Archeron sisters and Amren to my room to help me get dressed. I had already laid out three outfits, and Amren went over to my jewelry box to come up with options for each outfit. The first was a skirt that looked like the fading sky, made up of blue, purple, and black fabric, seamlessly woven together to create a night sky sort of look. With it I had a green crop top with little pink flowers sewn into it. I tried it on and showed the girls.
"Very nice, but I'm not sure if it's a lunch date kind of outfit. It's more like a nighttime date at a dancing hall," Feyre said. Nesta and Elain nodded in agreement.
"Okay," I replied, walking back to the bathroom with the second outfit. The next outfit was a fit and flare dress, meaning it clung to my body until the waist, until the skirt flared out to my knee. It started red at the top, and faded into a pink at the bottom. I paired it with a white cardigan that had wide sleeves, and was also knee length.
"Ooh, I like this! That is a definite option," Elain said, and Amren looked at me analytically, and picked out a couple pieces from my jewelry collection.
"This would match that well," she said. She=started with a necklace. It wasn't too over-the-top. It was silver, and small yellow jewels were set in it. She clipped it around my neck. Then she attached a matching teardrop earrings to my ears. She nodded approvingly.
"If you were to wear this, we could curl your hair loosely, and then I have a matching clip to hold it back," she said, reaching up to pull back my hair, to see how it would look.
"You look amazing Mor. This outfit really looks nice," Nesta said. Feyre hummed in agreement.
"Try on the last outfit though. I want to see how it looks," Feyre said. I nodded and removed the jewelry and dress, setting them down on my bed. The last outfit was a black tight dress, that clung to my body.
"I don't think this is right either," Nesta said, shaking her head. "Makes you look like you're going to a club at night."
"I agree," Amren replied.
"The second one it is then," I said cheerfully; that one was my favorite. The females helped me curl my hair, and then they applied a light layer of kohl to my eyes and color to my lips. They fussed over me, fixing jewelry, pulling my curls, and straightening the dress. I picked out a pair of yellow heels that accented the jewelry.
"Thanks you guys," I said smiling at the girls. "I don't know what I would do without you." They all smiled, even Amren, and told me to have fun and good luck on my date.
