*Sam's POV*

"So, how's Karen?" I ask after a few minutes in our ride to the amusement park and no one talking. After Alice messed with me, and me retaliating we've being in an awkward mood. I see her looking at me when I ask from the corner of my eye.

"She's fine..." She says unsure.

"I mean, last time I saw her, she was talking with..." I start explaining seeing that she didn't catch what I tried to ask, but I stop as I don't know her name.

"Amanda, and they're fine, or at least, I think so. She didn't talk too much about the subject. However, for what she said they're taking things slowly, and I'm glad, in the end she's married, well divorcing, but still married, and she's one- she was one of our teachers." She says nonchalantly, but you can hear the concern on her voice.

"They'll be fine, I'm sure of it. Karen seems amazing." I say, trying to cheer her up.

"So, you think that Karen it's amazing, huh?" Fuck! That backfired soon.

"Yeah, well..." She laughs at me. She loves teasing me. I hate her... "You know, I really don't know her, I mean I talked with her only thrice until now. Nevertheless, for what I saw she's a cool person, she loves you and she also has a crush on her teacher." She starts to laugh when she hears about the crush on her teacher.

"It seems you're really good at reading people. Now... what do you think about me?" She asks smirking, I cannot see it, but somehow I know that she is smirking.

"Well... Are you sure you want to hear it? It may be bad what I have to say." I tease her back and she lightly punches me. "Hey, I'm driving!" I tell her jokingly.

"Speak!" Alice says commanding.

"Yes, ma'am!" Which only earns me another punch on the arm, thank god that they don't hurt. "Well, what I think about you... let me think..." Which of course only makes her punching me again. Gosh, how violent is she, and I thought that I was the violent one. "You're strong, kind, amazing, beautiful..." I stop as I see that this isn't what she wants to hear. "But, the most special it's that you love your parents, a lot. You care about those who surround you, Karen mostly. However, you... I guess what I'm trying to say it's that you're strong, not physically, but mentally." I stop and I chuckle. I don't hear Alice saying nothing and I start to wonder if I said something wrong. I look at her and I see her looking at me, she's shocked at my words. I want to know what she's thinking, but I know it's not the right thing to do, so I just look at the road again and continue driving. It seems like hours passed because of my nervousness, but it's just been a few minutes.

"Sam, thank you."

"For what?" I ask not getting why she's thanking me.

"For being you." She says as she chuckles. I continue driving, trying to stop thinking about her and what she meant. It doesn't work too well, but, at least, it works somehow. After a few hours, we finally get to the amusement park. We get out of the car and start walking to the gates. I pay for our tickets and we make our way in.

"I could have paid, you know." Alice says, slightly pouting.

"I know, but I wanted to pay, I have the money and I invited you so..." I say smiling. "I pay."

"Whatever." She says flatly. I laugh at her as I reach for her hand, and I see her smile at that.

"Where do you want to go first?" I ask her as I start walking to nowhere specifically with her holding hands.

"Mmmm, what about the roller coaster?" She questions me excited.

"The roller coaster is it." I say excited too, and making our way there. We walk comfortably holding our hands. Once we reach there, we see a pretty long line.
