*Alice's POV*

It's not every day that you discover that your girlfriend it's a demon. I still can't believe it, I mean, if not because I saw it with my own eyes how she disappeared and appeared on the other side of the room I still wouldn't believe it. I would think that she's lying or that she's crazy... I think I'm the one going crazy. In some way, it explains some things about her, but at the same time, it doesn't make sense. I mean sometimes it's as if she's reading your mind...

"Can you read minds?" I suddenly blurt out. Sam stops on her tracks and looks at me.

"Yes." She says unsure. She can read minds... Is she reading mine? "I'm not reading yours. And it seems that's what you were thinking." She chuckles as she seeing me wide my eyes. "I'm not reading the mind of someone every second; it would get me crazy for starters. However, that's not the reason why I don't do it. Everyone has its secrets, it's true that I've read minds of other people in certain situations..." She says shyly.

"Have you read mine?" I ask frowning.

"Yeah, once or twice." She says embarrassed as she scratches the back of her neck.

"When?" I ask suddenly.

"Erm... I don't remember." She says as she starts walking again and I go after her.

"Are you lying?"

"Yes." She sighs before continuing. "The first time we met, when I made you breakfast, you asked me why I made that many pancakes." She stops, chuckling and I chuckle too as I remember the first time we met. "I normally do a lot, I made them for breakfast from time to time and my family comes, so I'm accustomed to do a lot of them, I didn't realize and I read your mind. I realized then that I got too excited making them, and a few more times that day, really. Besides that the day on the beach when we met a second time, after that I didn't pry anymore, and it was a second, I didn't get what you mean so I searched for an answer, after that I cut the link."

"The link?" I ask curiously.

"Yeah, mmm it's a little complicated, but let's say that there are waves that link us, all of us, my family can use them to 'read' the minds, we also used them as a way to communicate between us." She says shrugging.

"You communicate between each other, mentally?" I ask shocked, she laughs before nodding.

"Yes, those times that my father stopped our moment, was because he was literally on my mind." She shudders, I would too if someone invaded my mind in an intimate...

"Wait, he can't... you know see or read... while we're together..." I say unsure how to explain, but she get what I meant.

"Gosh, no. He only let's say I can hear his voice and he won't leave until I hear him. I can block him, but that would only make him go where I am, so I prefer to listen to him." She sighs.

"It's all too..."

"Weird? Yeah, it is." She says laughing, I sigh before looking to the front. We're already close from my college. "Any other questions?" I smile at her, she really knows that I had a ton of them, I mean pretty much, since I wake up I've been asking her questions.

"Too many, and no time." I say pointing to my college. I hear her sigh a little in relief. "Are you happy that we are already here?" I ask her with an arched eyebrow.

"Well... You cannot blame me, I mean, I know that you want answers, but I also get tired of answering them, you've been asking me since you woke up." She says shuddering a little. I laugh at her reaction.

"What are you going to do while I'm in college?"

"I planned to go home, talk with my parents... finish the damn job that my father gave me."
