Comfort [2/2]

Bucky was about to throw a pillow at Sam when Peter came with Tony clung beside him with pale face and dead expression. The kid looked like he was just cried with trace of tears streaming down his cheeks. Panicky, brought the old man up into his room while calling Tony's name many times. That, of course stole the 3 Avengers (including him) attention in the living room. Steve, Sam, and Bucky ran towards the boy, concerned to see the old man he was carrying. He put Tony in his bed and tucked the blanket to cover his body, while Tony was still in his state of shock. The boy squeezed Tony's hands gently, as he ordered the old man to breath in sync with him. The three of them exchanged glance and murmured one question in unison, what happen? But did not dare enough to ask the kid as he was too still in a panic state of trying to disenchant the billionaire.

This morning they heard the boy requested Tony to go out with him and buy ice cream. But why did they come back with Tony looking insanely pale and miserable? Steve was the first to enter the room as Sam and Bucky were waiting outside the door with arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed. Sure they had been sort things out after the last war. But sometimes either Sam or Bucky still felt the guilty for what happened in Germany. Especially Sam, he felt so much guilty after what happened to Rhodey and still could not forgive himself everytime he saw the ex-colonel walking with his prosthetic leg Tony had made him. But he sure cared with the billionaire, they were a team and formed an ally together now. And from his life experience, a team needed to support and care towards each other. Sure there would be some misunderstanding sometimes, but this time, Sam vowed to walk it through together to prevent the fight between them like the last one in Germany.

Steve sat at the edge of the bed. He rubbed Peter's back gently then turned to look at Tony's dead gaze. He called Tony and tried to shake him a little. He ordered F.R.I.D.A.Y to call Bruce and told him to go into Tony's room to check upon him. The AI did as she was told and immediately contacted the doctor while he kept shaking the body. Peter on the other side started to sob, he began to panic when the billionaire suddenly got up, removed the blanket over him and staggered to the bathroom, threw up. Steve walked from his spot over to Tony and began to stroke his back. This time, Peter was crying. Both Bucky and Sam could see his shoulders trembling. Lucky, not long after that, Bruce came in. He was wearing his doctor suit, stethoscope clinging in his neck. He asked the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but they were as clueless as him. So they just pointed out Tony in his bathroom with Steve beside him and the kid on the bad, crying.

Bruce was sure the softest man they ever met, even Bucky admitted it. So the first time he did after entering the room was rubbing the boy's back super gently and hugged him in comfort, encouraging the boy that Tony would be alright because he was there to ensure that, then walked towards Tony and Steve. He instructed Tony to breath with him and Steve together this time, it was working. Tony started to breath normally again, he grabbed Bruce's shoulders and with his support, they both walked out from the bathroom to put him back onto his bed.

"Peter, I need to check up on him. Can you get out for a moment?" Bruce patted Peter's shoulders lightly and smiled. Tony was all in his bed, covered under his blanket with the help from Steve.

Peter staring blankly at his mentor, his eyes were all puffy and red because of the crying. He shook his head, "can I stay with him, please?"

Bruce's corner mouth formed a force smile. Peter and Tony were so close they began to attach to each other without completely knowing. They grew fond towards each other after all the time they spent together, especially after the last war. Bruce knew Tony had anxiety disorder since the battle in New York and been progressing to help him together with Pepper. But it went worst after the last war, when Tony told him about him losing Peter, Bruce never seen his science bros that pathetic and miserable. He worked every night to build a machine to defeat the Mad Titans and sleep only three hours in five days. So he knew exactly his effort to try and kept the boy save, basically everyone he grew fond together. Well, Peter, he idolized Tony so much and always tried to be like the old man. But sometimes Peter was so reckless and Tony needed to be prepared for the heart attack due to his actions.
