Sweat dripped down your forehead as you pushed yourself to run faster. The abnormally dark hallway you had chosen didn't seem to end. Your fingertips were numb from dragging them across the walls in search of an opening, your legs felt like jelly from running so long, and you had no idea how long ago you'd turned down this hallway. Just when you thought it would never end or it might be better to head back and choose a different passage, your hand hit an opening in the wall to your right. Eagerly, you changed direction and headed into the new passageway.

Soon after making this choice, you noticed a slight change in the lighting ahead of you. It wasn't much, but you were quite convinced that super dark gray was significantly better than suffocating black. Unfortunately, your hasty decision and desire to find something more promising was misplaced. Twist after turn after backtrack. No path led to your freedom, and you didn't think one ever would.

You felt your chest grow tight and your throat begin to ache as you held back tears. "Fuck Dio and this stupid ass mansion and jealous house maids and floating men in leotards and this goddamn spontaneos remodelling project downstairs!" You turned and kicked the wall behind you for good measure. A few tears escaped from your eyes but you quickly wiped them off and swallowed the panic that had risen in your chest. Taking a deep breath to calm yourself, you began to try and find your way out of the maze once more.

Fatigue began to wear at your body and mind after running around for god knows how long. You felt your {eye color} eyes getting heavy and decided to rest against the wall for a few minutes. Just as you did so, the labrynth around you began to dissipate. You shot up from your place on the floor and watched as the walls faded away like smoke, confusion visible on your face. That confusion quickly changed to fear as the wall in front of you disappeared to reveal Dio himself.

You spun on your heals and sprinted for the now visible exit, silently cursing yourself for not being nearly as close to it than you thought you were. "No!" you cried out, your voice laden with distress. Without a second going by, Dio had appeared just a few feet in front of you. How the fuck?! The man towering over you quickly grabbed your wrist and pulled you in close. "Where do you think you're going, {y/n}?"

A rather short chapter, but I wrote it when I was out running errands. Enjoy! ~Celeste
