Mother asked me to go pick some of the berries by the woods. I crossed the dirt road and ran towards the woods. "But never ever go in the woods," Mother always tells me. I picked the berries, and right when I was about to turn around I heard a noise. It came from inside the woods. I thought I saw the outline of a person, so I ran. Dropped the berries, and just ran. Over the dirt road and all the way to our small house.

My mom found me in my bedroom and asked me where had the berries gone. I told her that I thought I heard something in the woods, and that I was scared so I ran home. I didn't tell her that I saw a person. The days went on and on without a question. But every time I closed my eyes I saw that same outline staring right at me. Maybe there are people out there. All I know is that I need to know.
