After school that day, I had a ton of homework and catching up to do.
"I don't understand why I need to know which angle, direction, and how far the stupid tree is from the stupid girl," I complain as Fern, Charlotte, Clay, and Danny all try to help me as they finish the question. We all met up at my kitchen table to do our homework and help catch me up.
"It's simple Sarah," Danny says, "All you have to do is..." He kept on rambling numbers and calculations that I didn't understand.
"I'll do your chores if you give me the answers," I offer to Danny.
He looks like he wants to, but he doesn't want to cheat.
"I'd take it. It's a nice deal," Clay said.
Danny says, "Deal." as he shakes my hand.
"Gimme," I say pointing to the homework paper.
"Here you go," He says, "Have fun doing my chores."
His chores were not even that bad. All I would have to do was wash the dishes, bring the trash out, and clean the table and counter after meals, but not break fast.

After a while, everyone finished their homework. They decided to start explaining the rest of the school schedule.
"So today was Monday and we had math all day. Tomorrow, Tuesday, we have language arts all day. Wednesday we have Science all day. Thursday we have History all day. Friday we have reading all day," Fern explained.
"Okay thanks," I replied.

After supper that night, I was cleaning up the kitchen. Danny was relaxing on the couch watching tv. My dad had just finished his shower after supper.
"Sarah, isn't it Danny's chore to clean up the kitchen?" Dad asked as he walked back into the kitchen to grab some dessert.
"Yeah, but I'm just helping him with his chores," I replied.
I could almost see Danny's smirk as he stared at the television.
"Okay then," dad said, "Have fun."

Once I finished the dishes, I went into my bedroom with a handful of cookies. I turned my tv on and started watching reruns of old tv shows.
After two episodes of tv, it was 8:30, and I decided to take my shower. So I placed the two cookies, that I had left, on the napkin on my nightstand and turned my lamp off.
I walked off into my bathroom to take my shower.

When I get out of my shower, it's 8:45 pm. I put on a pair of colorful, sleep shorts and a blue T-shirt.
I walk out into my bedroom and it feels a lot cooler. I quickly realize that my window is open, so I go shut it.
I shake off the thought of someone coming into my room, and I start watching tv.
I go to sit down on my bed, turn my tv back on, and went grab my cookies.
I swear I had two cookies left. I think as I only see one cookie on the napkin. Again I try to shake it off, but I just can't.
"Hello?" I call out into my dark room.
Of course no response. I quickly decide that my bedroom is freaking me out right now, so I turn on my lamp and start to go to the kitchen so that I can get a cup of water. I move to the side of my bed that's closer to the door and put my feet down. Then I start to walk towards my door, but hear a sound come from under my bed. Someone was under my bed.
I quickly walk into the bathroom and crack the door to where its almost closed. I turn on my curling iron and wait for a few minutes for it to get hot.
After five minutes I couldn't wait any longer, so I unplugged the curling iron and took it with me into my bedroom. I also grabbed a flashlight from my nightstand. I was going to use the light to see the person a the curling iron just in case they were planning on hurting me. I ran on top of my bed and pulled the blanket that dangled over the sides up. After that I leaned down upside down and flashed the flashlight on the person.
They quickly got out from under the bed before I could see their face.
Whoever it was, was wearing a hoodie and facing the opposite direction. I could tell it was a guy.
"Who are you?" I asked nervously because even though I wasn't that short, whenever I stood on my bed, he was still taller than me.
"Hello Sarah," he said and I knew exactly who he was.
