I stood in front the house where I had lived in for almost my whole life.

Raising my first to knock on the door, I sighed, letting my fist fall back at my side. I took a step back from the door and was about to leave again when the front door opened.

"Lyndsey?"

I turned around.

"Mom."

"Oh honey, I'm so glad to see you again!"

"I thought you hated me, mom."

Mom ran over to me and gave me a big hug.

"I could never hate you, honey. You're still my daughter no matter what you did. Always remember that."

That's when I broke down in tears. My mom still loved me but what would my dad say.

"Come on. Lets go inside. It's cold outside."

We went inside and I immediately looked around. I remembered it was Christmas in a few days as I spotted the Christmas tree next to the tv. All the memories from when I was younger came back to me. I would always wake up super early and wake my parents up. I really loved Christmas. Now it's just another day in my miserable life.

"I already bought you a new phone and some new clothes. Don't worry, they're all black." mom said, smiling warmly.

"Thanks mom." I laughed.

I put down my suitcase as my mom quietly closed the door, leaving me alone.

The room was exactly the same as when I left just a little but cleaner. Mom hated it when I just left my clothes on the ground. At least I could annoy her with that again.

I started unpacking my stuff. I didn't have much to take with me. Almost ten notebooks with song lyrics, twelve sketchbooks and some pens and pencils. I also had some clothes but I hadn't been able to wear them in prison and they were probably already to smal.

A brand new phone was laying on the bed. It was still in the box and was waiting to be opened. I started it up and quickly added Blairs number to my contacts list.

When everything was unpacked, I put my suitcase under my bed and my backpack next to my desk. I sat down at my desk and looked out the window in front of me. The stars were so beautiful tonight.

Just as I was about to stand up, it started raining very hard. I smiled a little. I always liked the sound of the rain.

Normal kids wouldn't be able to sleep when it was storming but I could. I would sleep even better than when it wasn't storming. Gosh, I really was a weird kid. I could understand why they called me a freak I didn't even care if they did. I just accepted it because I knew that they were just jealous.

"Lyndsey! You piece of shit! Get out of my house." I heard a manly voice yell. Fuck, my dad.

I shot up from my chair just as my dad stormed into my room. He grabbed the collar of my jacket and tugged me downstairs.

"Why did you let her in?!" he yelled at my mom. She was crying.

"John, please. Stop this. That's your daughter for fucks sake!" mom yelled. I had never heard her curse before.

"Don't talk to me like that, woman." dad yelled back.

He still had his grip on me and when I started struggling to get out of his grip, he threw me to the ground. I landed on my back and looked at him in shock.

He stormed up the stairs and came back with my backpack. Some clothes were hanging out of it as he tossed it to me along with my phone.

"Get out!" he yelled, pointing his finger at the door.

"Dad...I.."

"NO! THIS IS MY HOUSE! GET OUT NOW! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN, YOU THIEF."

I scrambled my stuff together and ran out the door, leaving all I had behind.
