After me and Brian catched up, I went back to Blair's house but not before asking Brian's phone number. I couldn't lose my best friends again.

I opened the door to Blair's house and silently walked inside. I looked around the house, seeing there was a light on in the kitchen. Walking over, Blair sitting on the counter, drinking some water.

"Hey." I said.

Blair smit out her water and fell off the counter. I had to keep mysef from laughing as I looked behind the counter and saw her laying there, groaning.

"Fuck! LYNDSEY!" she yelled, trying to get up.

"Sorry." I laughed and held out my hand to help her up.

She slapped it away and got up herself. "Fuck. I'm totally awake now."

I rolled my eyes and grinned at her.

She groaned and walked back to the living room, letting herself fall face first into the couch.

"Lynn, it's 3 am. Why the hell were you going for a walk. You know the demons are coming out at 3 am."

I laughed. "I left at midnight. I just ran into someone I knew. That's all."

"Oh yeah, that's why you talked to someone for three hours in the middle of the night. Was it like an old gang member or something."

"Kind of."

Blairs head shot up. "What? Really?"

"Yeah, but I'm not going to give you any information at all. You could still betray me and tell the police."

"Yeah, I understand. It's fine. There are somethings you must know though but I'm not going to tell you now. Maybe when I get to know you more."

I smiled at Blair. She smiled back. "So..uhm. Do you wanna go to sleep? I mean, I'll take the couch."

"Nah, you can just sleep in your bed. I'll take the couch. I'm the guest after all."

"Just sleep with me."

Blair realized what she said and stood up. "Well, I mean..uhm....sleep in my bed. Both of us. Come on." she rambled.

I laughed a little at her reaction and she slapped my arm lightly. We're gonna be great friends for sure. (A/N: yeah 'friends')

We went upstairs and Blair changed into some pajamas in the bathroom while I changed in her bedroom. Luckly my dad shoved some sweatpants and a comfortable shirt in my backpack before kicking me out of his house.

I heard ringing come from behind me. I turned around but the ringing was behind me again. I realized that my phone was ringing in my back pocket. I laughed at my stupidness and quickly picked up without looking to see who was calling.

"Hello?"

"Hey, sweetie. It's your mom. I'm so so so so so sorry about what your dad did. I hope you're okay."

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm staying over at a friends' place."

"Oh okay. Don't get in trouble."

"Mom, please. Don't start again."

"Lyndsey, I just don't want you to do the same with your life as before you got into prison. I want the best for you."

"Yeah? Well, than let me live my life. I met one of the people who I helped rob the bank with. I hope you're very proud of me. Goodbye mom." I ended the call and threw my phone in my backpack.

"You met one of the persons you robbed that bank with? What the fuck, Lynn!"

I turned around. Blair was standing there, shock present on her face.

"Blair, stop. I don't want you to get involved with my life. I do what I want."

"Lyndsey, you promised me you would never rob something again."

"Yeah, so what? I met an old friend and we catched up, Blair. It that not allowed?"

"Yes it is but I'm just concerned."

"I still don't understand why you care about me! We're total strangers. We had never met before!" I sighed and turned my back to Blair.

"I did it because I know what it's like to be in prison."

I slowly looked up from the ground and turned around when I heard a sob. Blair was crying.

"No no no no no no. Don't cry. I'm sorry." I walked over to her and held her in my arms. Her legs didn't hold her up and she fell on the ground, pulling me with her. I hugged her tightly.

After a while Blair stopped crying and looked up at me.

"I was released form prison a few months ago."

"Oh.." was all that managed to come out of my mouth. I didn't know what to say to her at all. I wasn't good with feelings and all that stuff.

"I just wanted to help you because I know how you felt when you just came out of prison. I know what it feels like to have nothing. I lived on the fucking streets for a few weeks."

"I'm sorry."

"You don't have to be sorry, Lyndsey."

"I do. I shouldn't have yelled at you. I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

It was silent for a moment. We were still sitting on the ground and my arms were still around Blairs tinier figure.

"How did you get into prison."

"Aren't you not supposed to ask that question?" Blair giggled a little but it soon died down as she sighed.

"I uh.... When I was younger my dad was very abusive. He used to hit me and my mom. When I turned 18 he hit me so hard that I had serious injuries. They couldn't take me to the hospital because they would have to explain what happened. I got so sick of it that I once hit my father back. He got angry and started punching me. I fell to the ground and had to take all of the punches. When he finally stopped I picked myself up again with the energy I had left and started hitting him back. He was so tired from hitting me that he couldn't do anything in return. I killed him, Lyndsey. I smacked his head againt the kitchen counter and he bled to death in front of me."

I definitely didn't know what to say now. Blair was waiting for me to react but all I could do was pull her even closer to me if that was even possible.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that, Blair."

"I'm over it now. He was an asshole anyways. Is it bad that I'm sometimes glad that he's gone?"

"No, not at all. I know what you mean."

It stayed quiet for a little while again until Blair broke the silence.

"Can we go to sleep now? I'm tired." she said, yawning. I laughed at how cute she was and we both got into her bed.

"Goodnight, Lyndsey."

"Goodnight, Blair."

Blair smiled at me one last time before turning the light on her nightstand off. She rolled over so that her back was facing me.

Watching the ceiling of the room, I heard silent snores coming from the girl next to me. I smiled to myself and turned around, softly wrapping my arms around her.
