I walked into the living room with Blair next to me and my uncle behind me.
My grandparents came up to us and eyed my uncle with a disgusted expression on their faces. I rolled my eyes at my uncle and he chuckled a little, patting my shoulder.
"Don't touch the kid! She'll get your sickness!" grandpa yelled, slapping my uncles hand away.
"Oh god. I touched him." he muttered.
This whole family literally made me want to burts out in tears but at the same time laugh at them. How the fuck could someone be so fucked up that they hated gay people?
"Lyndsey? Did you find a boyfriend already? Are you getting married." my grandma asked with a huge smile on her face, knowing that I was gay.
Oh I was going to knock that smile of that bitch her face. I grabbed Blairs hand and held it up in front of their faces.
"This is Blair. My girlfriend."
"For fifteen minutes now." I heard my uncle mumbled. He smiled at me goofily and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Lyndsey, you need to grow up and get yourself a man. What about that friend you had? What was his name again? I think it was Brian. Isn't he good for you."
Oh hell to the no. Just thinking about me and Brian being together made me want to throw up. I'm very sure he would feel the same.
"Nope. I'm gay. G-A-Y. Gay. A lesbian."
"That is nonsense! Stop saying that!"
"Gay gay gay. Gay gay gay. Gay gay gay gay. Gaygaygaygaygaygaygaygay........
Gay." I said, making Blair try to stiffle a laugh and making my uncle chuckle."Yeah, you heard that? Gay." he said, pointing at me.
I was so happy right now! I had the people I cared for the most here and they were helping me beat an argument with my very homophobic grandparents.
"What's going on over here?" my mom said as she walked over to us.
"How could Lyndsey say she's gay. She's obviously not! She's as straight as spaghetti." my grandma said.
"Yes, spaghetti is straight until it gets wet." my uncle said, making us all laugh, even my mom.
"Granny, let Lynn live her life. If she's happy like this, let her be." mom said.
"No! My granddaughter isn't a gay. She can't be!"
"Grandma, have you even looked at me? How could I not be gay?" I said, tilting my head and fake smiling at her. She groaned and tugged my grandpa to the front door.
"Goodbye!" she yelled.
"Oh bye! Have a very gay day!" my mom yelled. Omg I loved her. We all laughed and had a group hug.
"Thank you guys."
"It's okay, Lynn. We're here for you." my mom said, patting my shoulder. I nodded as I felt a tears slip.
Blair wiped it away and hugged me tightly.
"Oh yeah. Little Lynnie has a girlfriend." my uncle said.
"Oh god really? Who is she." my mom asked, sounding excited to hear who.
My uncle laughed and pointed over to Blair. "For about 25 minutes now."
I laughed as I punched his shoulder.
"Awww! I knew it from the moment I saw you Blair! I knew Lynn was in love with you." mom hugged Blair and than me.
"When are you gonna get married?" she asked seriously. I looked at Blair who was blushing like crazy. I smiled and took her hand.
"I don't know. Maybe soon." I jokingly said, making Blair punch my stomach.
"Hey! Don't do that!" I playfully yelled. She smiled at me and stuck her tongue out.
"You're such a child, Blair." I said, poking her.
"Stop, they're staring." Blair whispered.
I looked back over at my mom and uncle and saw that they were whispering about something and looking at us.
"What're you talking about?" I asked.
They stopped whispering and smiled. "Oh nothing." my mom turned to Blair. "Christmas is tomorrow and I was wondering if you would like to celebrate it with us?" my mom asked.
Blair looked at me and I nodded. "That would be nice. Thank you ma'am."
"Oh you don't have to be so formal! We're a crazy family." my mom yelled a little to loud, making some family members look at her.
"We're all fucking mental." I said.
"Lyndsey, language!" mom yelled, going back over to some other guests.
It was already evening and Blair I hadn't eaten yet so we did that. When we were done we said goodnight to my mom and uncle and went upstairs to my room and just got to know each other better.
Eventually all the guest left and the noise downstairs died down. Finally we could sleep!
I gave Blair some comfortable clothes and put some on myself. I laid in my bed, thinking about how good this day was.
Blair walked out the bathroom. She had a really big shirt on and she looked adorable in it.
I opened my arm for her. She smiled and laid down next to me, laying her head on my chest. We laid there in a comfortable silence for a while until Blair spoke up.
"Today was a good day."
"It definitely was."
