Chapter 1

Alright Kariliah 😂 Here we go 😏

Alexis:

"They won't kill you." I said, rolling my eyes.

"But what if they find me disgusting and repudiate me?" He replied outraged.

"Then they're idiots and not worthy to be friends with, Rob." I said seriously and crossed my arms in front of my chest.

He sighed. "I'm afraid they'll react like Alan." He whispered.

A shiver ran down my spine as I thought back how our stepfather had reacted when my brother had come out as gay.

Mom was calm, smiling and hugging him.

Alan, on the other hand, completely freaked out and almost threw him out of the house.

After which I had threatened him that he would then also have to throw me out, which of course immediately subdued our mother.

Since then there was a tense atmosphere at home and Rob had lost his courage to come out in front of our friends.

I hugged my, twelve minutes older, brother.

"I'm always here for you, even if it's no one else." I said.

He hugged me back and buried his face in my hair, but said nothing.

I knew how grateful he was to me for that, no words were necessary.

"Now come, or we'll be late." I said when I broke away from him.

My hand lay on his cheek while I smiled at him lovingly.

"Thank you, Alexis. You are the best twin sister I could wish for." He said with little tears in his eyes and a smile on his lips.

"Blood is thicker than water."

I lifted my claret-red backpack from the floor and hung it over my right shoulder.

Rob did the same with his navy green backpack and then followed me outside.

"Remember, I'm always by your side." I said before we entered the schoolyard.

He nodded and briefly pressed my hand again before finally letting it go.

We approached our clique, which was already waiting for us.

"Ay! Rob! Alexis! Finally you're here!" Dave shouted.

"Mike and Chester are getting on my nerves already!"

"Chester and Mike, be nice or I'll kick you in the balls."

Both flinched and threw panic glances at each other. You knew I wouldn't joke.

"Lord have mercy on us!" Both yelled at the same time. Pussies.

I rolled my eyes and hugged the boy with the red-brown hair.

"Where are Brad and Joe?" I asked.

"On they way here." He answered.

"Alright. I'm gonna go to my locker."

I waved to them before I disappeared.

Rob wouldn't come out to our friends in the middle of school anyway so I could prepare for today.

I was just putting my books in my locker when I felt a hand on my hip.

"Hey, babe." He whispered in my ear.
