Chapter 15

Lin:

"You don't have to be nervous. Everything's okay. They won't put you through an interrogation." I said reassuringly.

Brad took another deep breath and then nodded.

I opened the front door and called for my fathers.

"Dad? Paps? We're back!"

Both of them came to us from the living room.

"Dad, Paps, this is Brad Delson. He's the boyfriend of Alexis's twin brother. Brad, these are my two fathers Matt and Roman." I introduced them to each other.

"Hello, Brad. It's nice to meet you. Lin has already told a lot about you and the others." Dad said with a smile on his face.

Brad smiled shyly back.

"It's nice to meet you too, Mr. und Mr. Jensen." He said, still a little nervous.

"You don't have to be nervous. We're glad we can help you. And don't do that, Mr. Jensen. That's my father. We're Matt and Roman to you, okay?" Paps meant too.

Brad just nodded again.

I put my arm around his shoulder.

"It's a bit much right now, huh? Let's go to my room and I can introduce you to Jack and Russell." I said with a cheering smile.

"I know who Jack is, but who's Russell?" He asked me when we entered my room.

My little brother was lying on my bed playing with his Nintendo.

"Russell is my bearded dragon. Jack, please say hello to our guest." I turned to my brother after I had answered to Brad.

Jack looked up and sat down immediately.

"Hello, I'm Jack." He said politely.

Brad smiled at him.

"Hello, Jack. I'm Brad." The elder replied.

"Do you want to see Russell?" I asked him.

Brad shrugged his shoulders. "Why not?"

I went to the lit terrarium and lifted it out.

"He's all tame. You can also sit him on your shoulder. He won't do anything." I said.

Brad held him in his arm and stroked his head.

"He's so warm and soft." He said quietly as he continued.

The next morning I woke Brad up after I got ready for school.

Mike would come pick us up and leave him at his home where Rob would also be dropped off by Chester and Alexis.

I also woke Jack who we also had to drop off today because Dad and Paps had to leave earlier than usual.

I helped my little brother get dressed and picked up his backpack.

Mike honked his horn outside when he was there.

The three of us left the house and joined him.

"Hey, baby." He greeted me with a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey, honey." I replied with a smile.

I helped Jack buckle up before we left.

First, we dropped Brad off.

"See you later. We'll pick you up at Rob's after school, okay?" I said to him when he got out.

"Yeah. See you later." He replied and closed the door.
