Alexis:

Two weeks had passed since the small break-in at Chester's home and the equally small incident with his father.

Rob and I still hadn't told Mom about Alan because she was working a lot at the moment and then usually came home pretty exhausted, so we didn't want to burden her further for now.

But we told her that Chester would stay with us for a while, which was perfectly okay with her as long as he helped something out and wasn't sleeping in my room.

But we ignored this request simply because we were stupid, irresponsible and rebellious teenagers.

Also Mike and Lin had more or less changed.

Mike began to rave about the girl, who was born in Arizona, which Lin apparently didn't really start to register.

Even though I was wondering how you couldn't see this obvious crush.

"Dylan asked me to come to his party this Saturday." I said when I sat down at "our" table with my tray.

"I'm in." My boyfriend said immediately.

First, that was clear and second, I would never go to a party without him.

"I'll be there anyway. Dylan asked me to do the DJ." Joe said with his hands behind his head.

Rob reluctantly agreed while everyone else immediately agreed.

Only Lin hasn't said anything yet.

She stared and didn't seem to be quite with us.

"Lin?" I waved my hand around in front of her face.

"Huh?" She jumped up and looked at me like a deer in the spotlight.

"You coming to Dylan's party Saturday?" I asked her.

"I don't know.. I don't think I have anything to wear.. I haven't really gone to many parties yet.." She tried to talk her way out.

I waved off.

"Oh, come on. I'll lend you some of mine. We should be about the same size. I'll come by your place before the party and then we'll see." I said and grinned at her.

She sighed first and then nodded submissively.

She probably knew she wouldn't have a chance to talk her way out of it.

"Alright."

Saturday came fast and as soon as I knew I was already with Chester at my hand at Lin's porch.

I rang the bell and a few seconds later the door was opened by a man in his mid or late thirties.

He had dark hair, brown eyes and a full beard.

His arms were full of tattoos.

"Hi. What can I do for you both?" He greeted us friendly and with a smile.

"Hi. My name is Alexis Bourdon and this is my boyfriend Chester Bennington. We have an appointment with Lin." I replied politely.

"Ahhh, right. You guys want to go to a party later. Why don't you come in? I'm Matthew, but you can call me Matt." He said while letting us in the house.

"Thanks. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Lin is in her room. She's probably waiting for you." He said, pointing down a corridor.

"Her room's the last one in the back."

"Thanks. I think we'll meet again. See ya."

We walked along the corridor until we stood at the mentioned room.
