"So," Charlie began, shoving his hands in his pockets, "what do you wanna do?"

Daisy looked over at him, raising an eyebrow slightly. "I thought you'd have that planned out."

Charlie shrugged. "I probably should have," he replied, watching his breath disappear into the air. It was a chilly day in Boston, and Charlie was regretting just bringing a light jacket. It appeared that Daisy had already pulled out her winter jacket, though Charlie figured she got colder much after then he did due to her small structure.

"Maybe we should just get lunch or something?" Daisy suggested quietly, taking in the sights of the beautiful university she attended. She never had to walk through this part of the campus, so exploring new areas was very enjoyable for her.

"Yeah, sure," Charlie agreed. "University Grill sound good?"

"Always," Daisy replied with a smile.

"Great. I don't think it's far from here," he informed, just in case.

"Good thing. It's cold out here," she noted, and Charlie noticed she was shivering a bit.

"I almost feel bad for you. Even with the winter coat, you look almost as cold as I am," Charlie joked. Daisy just laughed, and Charlie couldn't help but smile.

It was a couple minute walk to the restaurant. Charlie insisted on paying for Daisy, and when she finally gave in the two ordered and sat down. Daisy's phone chimed as she took her coat off, and she quickly looked down to see who it was.

jake
i'll leave you to it, then

Daisy closed her phone before looking up at Charlie, who had just picked up his phone as seemed to be hiding the screen from Daisy. It wasn't like she could see it anyway, but he seemed to be trying especially hard to hide it. It was odd, she thought, but she didn't question it. She figured it was probably nothing.
