She wears the dark makeup
She's got the purple hair
But she smiles and says hello to you
When you pass her by out thereShe has black rings
And her outfit's a mix of dark colors
But she'd be happy to sit by you
If you're lonely eating your lunchShe'll stay home all day with just her books
But loves to spend time with her friends
She doesn't care to have pointless conversations
And even if you offend her, keeps her anger in checkShe doesn't let you in for many reasons
Her trust's been broken too many times to count
She uses her personality and appearance
To confuse you and make her seem impossible to figure outShe's got a big heart
No matter how you see it
And if you try harder
She might just let you inShe tries to be herself
But her personalities contradict
She's a mix of good and bad,
She's the rebel with a maskShe's lost and confused
She's feeling her power dull
She won't let herself be abused
By the worldSo she becomes
A dark kind of beautifulAnd she embraces
Her dark kind of beautiful
