Prologue

Hello! Thank you for checking out this story! This is my first BTS AU story, so I will try my hardest to write something that does the Bangtan members justice. I hope you enjoy the prologue and continue to read! Check out my other stories as well!!! On with the story!!!!

Unknown POV

He stared at the computer screen with a glare on his face. He typed a simple code into the computer and a live video feed began to play. It showed seven men all in one room hanging out. The man scoffed as he watched the boys joke around and laugh. He turned around and approached a large machine that stood behind him. "This is the day. This is the day your lives are ruined. This is the day everything changes...." He presses a few buttons before pulling a lever. The machine activates. The man turns back to the screen and smirks as he sees the boys begin to become distressed.

Namjoon's POV

The guys and I are just hanging out and relaxing. This is something we rarely got the chance to do, so we were cherishing the moment. Jimin and Jungkook were talking about some video game. They began giving a play by play of the actions within the game in a very animated manner. Yoongi smirked at the actions of Jimin and Jungkook. Jin and I just sat on the couch chuckling at the group. Hoseok was doing something on his phone. Taehyung was playing with his puppy. Everything seemed to be normal and we were all enjoying our day of relaxation. "Hey Joon. What do you think of this?" Hoseok asked me passing me his phone. Just as I moved to grab his phone, I felt an odd feeling deep within my chest. I winced suddenly and my hand moved its way to the area I felt pain. I looked down at my chest and glanced at the boys. Hopefully they didn't notice that I was in pain. I didn't want them to worry. Hoseok had a frown on his face when I looked back up and Yoongi's gaze met my own. I looked at him and put on a smile, trying to ignore the ache. "Joon. What's wrong?" Yoongi said in a loud voice so the rest of the group could hear. Suddenly, I was surrounded from all sides as the group began to worry about my wellbeing. "I'm fine. Just give me some space. I just feel some p-" I started to say before a wave of pain came over me. I glanced at my chest and frowned as I noticed I was becoming translucent. Slowly the rest of my body followed suit. The rest of the guys were in shock as I slowly faded from view. "What the hell is happening!?" Jungkook exclaimed.

"I have no idea....it's alright. I'm okay. I'll be fine. Uh...." I said in a hushed tone. Jimin reached out to place his hand on my shoulder, but it passed right through me. Suddenly a blinding light enveloped me. I yelled out, "Get back. Don't come closer to me."

In a flash of light Namjoon disappeared leaving behind 6 distressed boys.

Jin's POV

I stared at the spot where Namjoon had once stood. I blink a couple times hoping that what had just happened was just a hallucination. When I open my eyes again I am only surrounded with the rest of the guys and no Namjoon. This wasn't good. "What happened!? Where did he go?" Taehyung asks his eyes wide. Jungkook paces back and forth while Yoongi tries to come up with some possible explanation for what had happened. "This is some prank right. Joon didn't just disappear in a flash of light. That's not possible...." Jimin mutters.

Hoseok shakes his head, "It's not a prank. We should get security...."

"Uh...." Jungkook groans suddenly. We all looked at him worried, to our surprise the same thing that was happening to Namjoon was happening to our youngest member. "No way, Kookie. You are not disappearing like Joonie did. We can't let this happen. Jimin go tell someone what's happening." Hoseok exclaims reaching for Jungkook's arm. As he did this his own arm began to become translucent. "Shit...." I mutter. As I said these words a large blast of light went off and both Hoseok and Jungkook were gone. Jimin's hand froze on the doorknob. Yoongi let out a string of curses. Taehyung looks at me, "Hyung....what do we do?" I look at the remaining boys and frown, "Stay close to one another. I have a feeling that whoever is doing this is only targeting the members of BTS." We all look at one another not saying anything for a few moments. "What are we going to do? We can't just stand here waiting to see if another one of us disappears. We need to look for Namjoon and Jungkook and Hoseok." Yoongi says. Taehyung nods, agreeing with Yoongi's statement. Jimin looks at me, "Should I go tell someone what's happening?"

I shake my head, "I doubt they would believe us. This type of thing doesn't happen in real life."

"Can I just say something? If anything happens to me I want you to know that you guys were my family and that I love you...." Taehyung says in a solemn voice.

Yoongi glares at him, "Don't talk like that. You're not going to disappear." Taehyung nods his head and looks around the room. None of us speak, none of us know what to say. "Don't worry. This can all be explained...." I say breaking the silence. Just as I say these words Taehyung begins to fade. He lets out a tiny chuckle, "Seems like I'm next. Bye Yoongi. Bye Jin. Bye bye Jiminie...."

"No....this can't be happening. Not you too Tae," Jimin says in a whispered tone. With those words Taehyung vanishes in a blast of light. Jimin bites the inside of his mouth. Yoongi massages his head and mutters words underneath his breath. I take a deep breath, whatever was happening didn't seem to be stopping. It was only a matter of time before the rest of us faded as well. "Does this mean we're all going to fade?" Jimin asks in a low voice. Yoongi walks over to Jimin and hugs him. My eyebrows raise in surprise at his actions. Yoongi reachs out and pulls me into their group hug. We stay in this embrace for a few seconds before I begin to feel something become warm. I look at Yoongi and realize he was starting to become translucent. Yoongi looks at the both of us and smirks before fading from our view. Jimin combs a hand through his hair and sits on the floor. I follow suit and look at him. We are the only two left. Jimin looks at me with tears forming within his eyes, "Hyung. Why is this happening to us? Did we do something wrong? I don't want to die. I still have things I want to do...."

I place my arm around his shoulders, "You're not going to die Chim Chim. Trust me." Jimin looks at me and nods, even though we both knew that what was happening is unavoidable. Suddenly I felt my arm fall to my side. I looked at Jimin, he has also become translucent. I shake my head and look into Jimin's eyes. I can see sadness, but no fear shining in his eyes. "Bye Hyung. Thanks for everything...." Jimin states before the flash of light takes him away. I blink and glance around the empty room. "Let this all be a nightmare," I whisper to myself. I pick up my phone and scroll through my camera roll. I look at pictures that I took with each and every member. I glance at the photos of the places I visited with the rest of the guys. I stop looking at my phone and walk over to the mirror that is leaning against the wall. I stare at the tear tracks on my cheeks that I had failed to notice before. I wipe them away and take a deep breath. Whatever is going to happen will happen. "Thank you for the life I was able to live....." I say to no one. I look back at the mirror and notice my legs becoming translucent. I glance at my phone once more before my hands become translucent and it falls from my grasp onto the floor. I grimace waiting for the light to take me away as well. Within a few seconds the light appears and in a flash I disappear.

General POV

The room that was once held seven boys now held none. The room remained silent. Jin's phone lay on the floor with a picture displayed on the screen. It was a picture of the seven young boys. That picture begins to disappear and be replaced with different people in a different place. In one final burst of light everything fades and becomes something new.
