Hello everyone! I really hope you like this chapter. Two words, Jimin's abs....
Yoongi's POV
I sit in the same spot in the park in deep thought. The reason for this is because of what Taehyung yelled out. No More Dream. That song title meant something. That tune meant something. It's on the tip of my tongue. I know I've heard that tune and that song title from somewhere. I click my tongue trying to bring up a memory. I frown when nothing comes to mind. I sigh and let my eyes wander around the park. I have no real plans for the rest of the day, other than to finish a song. I should be going back home to work on it now, but I just don't feel like moving. Suddenly, my phone starts to ring. I take it out of my pocket and pick up without checking the caller ID. "What do you want?" I say.
"Yoongi?" my neighbor Miran says.
"Is there a reason you called me? I only gave you my number in case of any emergencies." I say in annoyance.
"Well....it is a tad bit of an emergency...." Miran replies.
"Well? What is it?" I ask.
"I was coming home from work and I was passing your apartment. I glanced over and noticed your door is wide open...." Miran explains.
"My door is unlocked and open?!" I growl, "Is there anyone inside?"
"Not at the moment. The thing is, I don't know how long your door has been open. Someone could've been in there before and taken something," Miran says. I grit my teeth thinking of all of the things that could've been taken. All of my songs, my piano, my computers and producing equipment. I think back to earlier this morning, how I was rushing out of the house. My alarm had went off on time, instead of waking up I turned off my alarm and went back to sleep. I only woke up because my phone wouldn't stop making noises. When I had checked the time, I realized I was late. I scrambled to get ready and out the door. During my mad scramble out of the house and to my car, I had forgotten one thing. To close and lock the door to my apartment. I groan as I come to realize this fact. If someone actually did steal something, it would be my fault for leaving the door wide open. "Yoongi?" Miran says her voice showing concern.
"Yeah. I'll be there as soon as I can. Thanks for telling me," I reply. Before she can say anything else, I hang up. I pocket my phone and stand up. I sigh as I quickly make my way to where I parked my car. I hum Taehyung's tune under my breath as I approach my car. I unlock the door and climb inside. I start the car and pull out of my parking spot. I begin to drive off towards my apartment. I press the gas petal with a bit of urgency, trying to get back home as soon as possible. I don't even pay attention to the speed limit, the chances of me getting caught are slim. Suddenly, I hear a police siren go off. I glance at my side mirror and groan. The police car is pulling me over. I slow down and drive the car to the side of the road. The police car stops behind me. I glance at my rear view mirror and catch a glimpse of the officer. He's fairly short and his hair falls right over his forehead. The officer approaches my car and I lower my window. As he walks closer I can see his name plate on his chest, Park, J. I look at his face and blink a couple times. His face is familiar, I feel like I know him. "Excuse me, sir. Do you know that this is a 55 miles per hour zone? You were going 60..." Officer Park says. I look at him with an annoyed look, I have never met this picky of an officer before. Most of them would ignore people going about fifteen miles over the speed limit. Apparently, this officer wasn't the latter. "I didn't realize that I was speeding, officer. Don't you think you could just let this slide? I was only 5 miles above the speed limit." I reply.
Officer Park laughs dryly, "I don't think so. Five miles above the speed limit is still speeding. I can't just let people off the hook for breaking the law, no matter how small it may be. I'm going to have to give you a ticket. Will you please give me your license and registration?" I hold myself back from rolling my eyes and driving off. I reach for my wallet and open a compartment in my car. I hand the officer the things he requested. He makes his way back to his car. I glare at my steering wheel, pissed. This officer is a real stickler, who would give out a ticket for going over five itty bitty miles. I look at my rear view mirror, so I can see what Park is doing in his car. The officer seems to be taking his sweet time entering my information into the computer and getting the ticket. At this rate, I wouldn't be getting back to my apartment for a while. I really would like it if I didn't have a speeding ticket added to my record. I am always safe when driving, my record is squeaky clean. It wouldn't be the second this crazy officer adds the fact that I was speeding. On top of that, I don't really want to pay for a speeding ticket. Sure, I do make enough money, but I would rather not waste it on a dumb ticket. Maybe, I can talk the officer out of it. There's a chance that I can change his mind. Plus, it may do some good to find out a bit more about him. He does seem like someone I should remember. I contemplate whether this is a good idea or not for a few minutes. In the end, I get out of my car and head over to where the police car is parked. I knock on the window in order to tell Officer Park that I had come over. He gives me a look and rolls down the window of his car, "Sir, if you don't mind going back into your vehicle and waiting patiently. This will only take a few more minutes."
