It was Friday night. A night when most people go to bars and clubs to drink away the stress they felt from working so hard for the entire week, or to dance away their problems about failing exams and dropping courses in school. It's a night when bars and clubs were so occupied that one wouldn't notice a transaction of drugs or money was happening somewhere in the corners of the place. It's a night that, for Wonpil, was perfect for going around the bars and clubs of Seoul to "visit" some of his "trusted friends" without being spotted or noticed.

After that incident, the three of them moved to a much smaller apartment. In fact, their unit was located in the basement of the building and it only had one room. Being the gentlemen they were, Jae and Wonpil gave the room to Juliene and the two of them settled in the living room. Surprisingly, the signal in their apartment was very strong and the rent was cheap, so there was no problem.

Wonpil was lonely without his piano, but he had to leave it in their condo because it would be a hassle to bring it with him. They only took what's important like their clothes, their notes, and anything that could be tracked and identified.

The escape from the condo was nerve-wrecking to them, especially to Wonpil. It was his first time in many years to escape without getting caught, because getting caught meant death... or torture. There were so many What-ifs that came to his mind that time: What if they saw us? What if they still tracked us? What if I die today? What if they open fire?

Living the normal life changed him a lot that he forgot how to control himself from shaking. Because of that, he nearly fell off the staircase as they went down to the fire exit.

When they were finally out of the building, they ran and ran without looking back. Wonpil anticipated gunshots, but thankfully there was none. They found Juliene at the place as planned, and after searching for a new place like tourists, they found the quite run-down apartment they were in as of late.

Wonpil looked at the list of people he was going to visit as he walked. The first one was their former mentor in the group, the one who was in charge of training them mentally – abstract reasoning, problem solving, logic reasoning... anything that involved mind games.

After a few minutes of walking in the streets, Wonpil turned to his right, entering an alley. He passed by a group of teenagers who were gambling in secret, the cards stretched on their hands and their bets sprawled on the ground. One of them looked at him, but Wonpil did not bother to meet the boy's eyes.

Wonpil then turned to his left, arriving at a pawn shop. It was absurd, finding a pawn shop in between alleys. The atmosphere in the area was eerie and dead silent in the night. A normal businessman would not build his business here, would they? Well, this pawn shop was different. It was made for customers who belonged in the underground world or the black market.

Wonpil stood in front of the pawn shop. He saw his reflection on the glass. He was covered in a double layer of sweatshirts and a jacket, his gloved hands were tucked inside of his jacket's pockets, and his blue beanie covered his red ears. He hoped that, just for tonight, it wouldn't snow. Just for tonight.
