5 years have passed Valgrim who grew up to be a very friendly and kind tiefling living in a house in the village on the outskirts of armskir. Valgrim was playing in the front chasing a beautiful black and red bird. When the bird flew onto the tree Valgrim accidentally ran into it.
He begins to sob and weep to the pain. But he hears a very jovial melody behind him. He looks behind him and sees his father playing his tin whistle. Valgrim wipes his tears and begins to dance to the melody of his fathers song. Lokereus notice his son dancing and continues to play his whistle. Valgrim stopped to catch his breath.
"What's wrong Valgrim tired already?" Lokereus laughed
"Yes papa. Can I ask you something papa?" Valgrim ask with excitement
"What's that son?" Lokereus replied
"Can you teach me how to play your flute?" Valgrim asked with a smile
"Well of course son. but it will take time and practice with it son." Lokereus says to his son patting his head
"Oh hello Lokereus I see you and your son were making music." A voice says to them
"Ah Elwrick what a surprise came to visit?" Lokereus says to man
"Oh I just came by to give something to Valgrim since I couldn't attend his fifth coming of age." Elwrick says to Lokereus
"Papa?" Valgrim says to his father
"It's ok son Elwrick is the high council's court wizard you can trust him." Lokereus says to his son with a smile.
"Here Valgrim this is for you his name is dust he's a very wise familiar. He can help you find your way home or find a item for you." Elwrick says as he hands Valgrim a raven with a red underbelly.
"Thank you very much mister." Valgrim says with a smile as he's petting the familiar.
"Lokereus I must be going now. Do give my greetings to your wife for me." Elwrick says as he's pats Valgrim on his horns.
"Will do Elwrick do be careful." Lokereus says to Elwrick
"Oh come now I'm not that old Lokereus haha I still have magic in me." Elwrick laughed and begins to travel.
"Papa?" Valgrim ask and looks to his father.
"Hmm?" Lokereus replied back
"Hehe your horns are funny." Valgrim laughed.
"Haha your horns will be funny too so." Lokereus jokes back
"Boys it's time to eat." Nijena says to the boys out side
"Coming mom." Valgrim replies
Later that night in the high council. The council men were discussing the strange energy that's not far from the city. but the energy their sensing is to little of a threat. And they just received word that Elwrick was on his way back from his investigation.
" Elwrick what did you find?" The head council men asked
" nothing out of ordinary here sir I believe it's just magic flux nothing more. I shall return soon." Elwrick says as a magical projection.
"Very good. We also sense a strange energy heading to the city we don't know what it is but we sense evil energy." The head council men says concerning the energy might be dangerous to the city.
"Very well I shall hurry with haste." Elwrick says as his projection disappear.
Meanwhile back at the village. A dark presence is near Lokereus and his family.
