The next morning in the crack of dawn Valgrim,saroas, and Troy began packing for their journey. Valgrim looks over to his wrist where the chain familiar coiled up. Troy grabbed his hunting gear and grabbed his hat. Saroas changed clothes from before his armor transformed into a black trench coat and a sword at his side.
Troy walks in the room with a cigarette in his mouth. And places a map of the city on the table.
"Alright boys pack your bags we're going to docks and taking a faire boat." Troy says to Valgrim and saroas.
"Ok. But why?" Saroas asked
"The monsters Valgrim is hunting are mostly in there own plains of existence or they are in this world but somewhere else. Now We need to find information about them luckily I know a few people that can help us. Which brings me to where we are going. We're going to jahal cove." Troy smirks as he explains to them.
"Great we're going on a boat." Valgrim yawned
"You never been on a boat have you Valgrim?" Troy asked
"What's a boat?" Valgrim says
"Your hopeless you know that." Saroas sighed
"What? I never left the monastery." Valgrim replies back
"Wait What?" Saroas Says surprised
Troy is sitting in his chair waiting for the two to stop being idiots. And takes a puff out of his cigarette.
"Are y'all boys done being idiots!" Troy sighed.
Troy,Valgrim, and saroas started walking to the Docks. Their was the ship ready to travel to jahal cove as they waited in the long line. Valgrim was looking around the docks and noticed a asinine centaur. But the centaur was have a problem with writing his name on the paper.
"Would you hurry up!" Shouts a angry sailor.
A man wearing a red bandanna as a head band walks up and assist the asinine centaur with the paper. As the centaur thanked the kind man and walks up the bored walk Valgrim noticed that the crew were lugging away some strange box. Valgrim was sensing a strange and evil energy from it.
"Sign you're name sir and pay 10 gold." One of the crewmen said to Valgrim.
Valgrim payed the fee and was escorted to his room and begins meditating. Troy was on the main deck looking around. And saroas is socializing with the passengers.
Many hours have passed...
Valgrim felt the snake familiar uncoiled from his wrist and sits in front of him. Also dust is perched on the night table.
"Well I see you two are very aquatinted then?" Valgrim asked Dust still in his meditation position
"Yes but I do believe you sensed that strange energy then." Dust says to Valgrim
"Yes but we need to be quiet about this. I recommend send despair to investigate." Dust suggested
"Who's despair?" Valgrim says as he stops meditating
"The snake." Dust says
"Oh ok." Valgrim says as turns to look despair
Valgrim noticed that the snake is coiled up and looks back at him.
"Despair brengulch wer vur spical ekess ve svadrav wux ehtah creolnali bvecko." Valgrim says to despair in draconic
Despair nods and responds to Valgrim.
"axun sia ith." Despair Says in draconic which translates to yes my lord.
Despair slithers off to where the strange energy is emanating from. As Dust fly's to Valgrims shoulder. They hear a knock on the door and Valgrim used mage hand to open the door. It was Troy and saroas.
