"So, you don't have a name?""Unless my model number counts, no, I'm afraid I don't."
Hank and Connor shared a look as they exited Hank's car. They had been called to a crime scene; another attack by the Detroit Ripper. The attack had happened at a motel, but they hadn't been informed on the statistics of the victim and whether or not they were a human.
It was raining pretty hard; which was to be expected, it was late November after all. The motel had been temporarily evacuated. The motel was named the crossroads motel, it was pretty old but still managing.
If Connor could recall correctly, this was where Ethan Mars stayed when he was accused of being the Origami Killer.
The place was swarming with police, although the crime scene appeared to be unentered, due to the fact the door was fully closed and the police tape was untouched.
After walking up a couple flights of stairs, they finally made it to the door. Sharing a glance with each other, they slowly opened the door and entered. Connor gasped and Hank slapped a hand over his mouth at the sight before them.
The victim was definitely an android, although that didn't make it any less disturbing and horrible. They were too mauled to identify their gender.
Thirium was everywhere, especially on the bed. That meant this was very recent. Biocomponents were definitely missing; some were scattered on the ground. Some were broken, others weren't.
"Holy shit..." Hank whispered, his face somewhat paler than usual. Connor watched as KX approached the mauled android, dipping the tips of two of his fingers in the Thirium, and pressing them to his tongue. Hank retched, turning around.
"Jesus fucking Christ!" He whisper-shouted, leaning against the wall. If the situation was different, Connor would have laughed. KX turned around, his brow furrowed.
"They were a sexbot up until last year, when they became sentient. Likely female. Although Thirium is pretty much the exact same for every android, there are a few minuscule chemical differences in it, depending on the android's gender." KX explained, stuffing his hands in his pockets, walking over to them. "I'm not quite sure why, though."
Hank turned back around, looking a bit ill as he tried to avoid looking at the dead android.
"You get all that from doing...that fucking gross thing?" He asked incredulously. KX furrowed his brow.
"What does that word mean?" He asked. Hank grimaced, regretting his choice of words.
"Uh...don't worry about it." He stammered, his face and neck flushing red. KX appeared to be confused, but he didn't continue asking.
"...uh, yes. Connor could likely attest to how that action can reveal a lot about a person." He continued, curious as to why Hank appeared to be sick.
"Are you alright, Lieutenant?" KX asked, stepping closer. Hank nodded.
"Just call me Hank."
They were startled by a loud, bloodcurdling scream from downstairs. They scrambled out of the room, dashing down the stairs as they followed the scream.
But they were all rooted to the spot when they got there; Connor gasping as Hank clutched his shoulder for support. KX felt odd; almost horrified, but he didn't know how to put it.
The Ripper had claimed another victim. Same treatment of the body.
But something was different.
The victim was a child.
