A Letter a Day (Sequel to Broken but Mended)

Christmas Part 2

"Beautiful isn't it?"

"Percy I told you I wanted to be alone." I muttered, not even bothering to turn around to look at him. He chuckled. "What's so funny Jackson?" I asked, this time turning around to look at him. I stood up when my eyes landed on him.

"I don't think my name is Percy Neeks." He said with a chuckle.

"Y-You're dead though." I whispered. He shook his head.

"I was dead." He smiled. "Hazel talked to your dad. She told him about how you barely talk to anyone, she convinced him to bring me back to life as a Christmas present for you." I stared at him. "Merry Christmas Nico." He hugged me, but I just stood there in shock.

I feel happy, but angry at the same time. I pushed him back.

"Nico? Are you okay?" He asked. I shook my head.

"You left me! You left me when you said that you wouldn't! Now you just show up and think that everything is perfectly fine! It isn't fine! You fucking left me here! I went four and a half months without saying a single word to anyone! Y-You just left! You killed yourself! You never even said goodbye to me Leo!" I yelled.

"Well gosh Neeks I-I-"

"You said you would never leave me Leo. Every time I asked you if you would ever leave me you would say that you would never leave me. I trusted you Leo! I trusted your words and then you left. You left me here to live this stupid life by myself! You can't just fucking walk over to me and start talking to me like everything is going to be fucking okay after four months of you being dead! Y'know what? Why don't you just go back. Just go back and I will see you again when the time comes for me to leave! Just fucking go!" I was still yelling. Without saying another word, I ran, leaving him behind. For some reason, I ran to Percy's cabin. I knocked and he opened the door.

"Nico? What are you doing here?" He asked.

"L-Leo's back."

"Oh yeah I know! Hazel thought you would love it if she got him back for you."

"I yelled at him." I muttered.

"What? What did you say?"

"I-I told him to go back. I-I didn't mean to, I-I was just angry because he left me and then he just shows up and acts like everything is fine and I just-" I was cut off by a pair of lips crashing into mine.

"Shut up. You talk too fast when you're angry." Percy pulled back.

"What the actual fuck Percy?!" I yelled. He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. I pointed to my mouth.

"Oh, oops." He whispered. I let out a loud, frustrated scream.

"Do you see why I hate this holiday!" I yelled. Though I'm not sure if it is the holiday that I hate or just the fact that my life is just a big fucked up mess.

Leo's POV

I thought Nico would be happy to see me.

I guess I thought wrong.

Wouldn't be the first time that I thought he would react one way, but instead he reacted the other way. Maybe he is right, I should just go back. Hopefully he will talk to me again sometime today. Maybe he just needs some time to, cool off I guess. When Hazel found me in the underworld, she told me how upset Nico has been. It killed me when she told me that he almost cut again.

I was actually staying with Hades, he didn't want Nico finding me and trying to take me back, so he offered me a pretty nice room. Hazel found me there somehow, talked to me, then talked to her dad, and then before I knew it I was back at Camp Half Blood. Hades is actually a nice guy as long as you don't make him mad.

I don't get why Nico would get so mad at me. I understand that I left, even though I told him I wouldn't, but he should be happy that I am back. I walked around until I saw Piper and Jason, then I went to talk to them.

"Oh my gods Leo I'm so happy that you are back!" Piper yelled as she hugged me.

"At least one person is happy." I muttered.

"What was that Leo?" She asked.

"At least one person is happy that I'm back." I repeated.

"Well did you see Nico yet? I'm sure he will be so happy!"

"He isn't. He yelled at me and told me to go back." I whispered.

"He what?!" Piper yelled.

"He just isn't happy that I'm back." I muttered.

"Leo, you should talk to him again, he's probably just surprised that you're back. He has really missed you." Jason said, he gave me a quick hug. I felt like I was going to cry soon.

"D-Do you think he's moved on?" I whispered.

"No! And if he has, oh I'm gonna-"

"Piper, please." I said.

"I don't think he moved on Leo. He is most likely just very shocked that you are back. He already wasn't happy when he woke up this morning, plus it's Christmas and he doesn't like Christmas for some reason. Maybe the shock of seeing you again made him say things he doesn't really mean. And I mean you did tell him that you would never leave him and then you did, so maybe he is just mad that you had left him."

"I know he's mad that I left him, but thanks Pipes." I muttered, giving Piper a quick hug.

"Leo just give him a little time okay?" She said. I nodded.

"I'll talk to you guys later, thanks again Piper." I said before I walked away.

I know that Piper said that I need to give him some time, but I really need to talk to him. I need to be with him. I need him. So I walked to his cabin and knocked on his door.

"Nico!" I said as I continued knocking on the door until he opened it. When he finally opened his door, all I said was, "Nico."
