Chapter 8: Mistakes Part 1

Adrien didn't feel really excited when he woke up the next morning because of what he has to eventually do. He did feel somewhat content and warm when he thought about what happened yesterday between him and Marinette. He looked down at his charm and brushed his thumb over it again, like it's a rabbit's foot or something.

"As long as I have this charm... everything should be fine..." Adrien whispered to himself as he got out of bed, fed Plagg his daily camembert and went throughout his day as normal, but the paper was still a nagging thought in the back of his mind. Things between him and Marinette have become just slightly a bit awkward because now both of them couldn't figure out what to say to each other. In one way, Adrien falling in love with Marinette just made things for the both of them worse, social wise anyway. Marinette vaguely knew that there was something on his mind but didn't confront him about it all day. Adrien and Marinette were just slightly embarrassed when Alya showed them the pictures of them together, hugging, singing, and she recorded them giving each presents so that was fun for them to relive. They were blushing the entire time. Soon, the day was over and Adrien knew what to do. With Plagg by his side, Adrien tiptoed up the white marble staircase and dashed into his room to grab the paper. He stocked his bag with a few camemberts if he needed transform and he played Waltz in E minor by Chopin on his ipod (You still own an ipod? What are you a caveman?) and placed it on the piano. He then pulled up his own security camera system of the house and waited for his dad to get out, which Gabriel did because he had to go to a meeting for the big fashion designers in the city. He looked to the lower left camera and saw Gorilla guarding his door. Adrien then made sure to disable the cameras to prevent anyone catching him.

Adrien smirked as he transformed into Chat Noir and went out the window and made his way to the window that leads into his father's office. He cracked open the window and slipped in like a ninja, who's infiltrating a rival castle or something. He then quickly transformed back and rushed over to his mom's tapestry where he took out his paper and started scanning the tapestry for the exact triangles and eye. Soon he and Plagg found them and debated what to do with their discovery.

"What are we supposed to do?" Adrien asked he brushed fingers over the exact markings on the tapestry.

"Hmmmm... I don't know... ANYTHING?!" Plagg said sarcastically as he urged Adrien to try something. Adrien pressed his finger on one of the triangles and he noticed that the triangle went down, like a button but nothing happened. He then traced his other fingers to the correct spot and and pressed down on all of them. He then suddenly felt the ground disappear beneath him and he let out a yelp as he was led underground. Plagg then quickly rushed in with Adrien as they were transported down a translucent black tube with a bluish tint. Adrien suddenly felt himself get lifted up, like an elevator and then the tube opened above him washing him in a gentle bluish light as he re-adjusted his vision to find something that was indescribable. It was a dome-shaped room that was black in color but was awash with light, coming from the giant window that was in front of Adrien and something that he found even more strange: glowing butterflies. He walked forward into the room trying to examine the butterflies but they fluttered away from him when he tried to get a closer look. He soon found himself in the middle of the butterflies and he was at a loss for words.

"Plagg... what is this...? This is..." Adrien tried to form words out of his vocal cords, but he couldn't. He suddenly heard a shy voice behind him. He then whipped himself around to face a lavender sprite-like creature that had a similar body shape to Plagg.

"Master Adrien! I've been expecting you," The lavender fairy bowed to Adrien who took a step back in slight fear.

"Expecting me...? Wait... are you... Nooroo?" Adrien asked, fearing that his worst nightmare was gonna come true if Nooroo says yes.
