" Tommorow is our matriculation " I turn to my annoying sisters voice while she walks past me , grabs a stool and sits just right next to me

" And....is that my concern " I say trying to fake focus on my phone just so i avoid going to Luton , this girl here comes home every weekend

" yep " she says while popping out the p like it was her first word she uttered during her toddler days

" you know I don't particularly enjoy occasions with so much people " I'm so going to make her beg me to go for that matriculation

" I know what you're trying to do " she says with a little bit of amusement in her voice

"You want me to beg you and I won't , umma traveled back to Nigeria to visit grandma if not I wouldn't be doing this, telling you I mean "

Now it looks like she's heading somewhere , this girl and her mischieve

" but if you want to see the famous firdaus I tell you about all the time then i suggest you come with "

This girl is evil

I stood up to get going to my room , shut the door and I see myself again

You know it's funny how the mirror is our direct reflection
The way I've become is so surreal
I can still see the me I was during high school

Unlike now I see a full beard on my face neatly shaved , full eyebrows which is in the DNA , we all have it and but with me having this exception of some serious look people say i give but i have unique eyes what can I say

And i have this dimple with a builded body
Work has really changed me
We are hausas from katsina but umma is fulani , really fair one

On a phone call

"Ammi its all fine " I say for the umpteenth time after ammi saying she thinks I'm not eating
I even had to mention what and what i eat on dailybasis
And she ended up saying

I smiled knowing I somehow convinced her and she's satisfied

Now I just have to get dressed up and get some food , I've been lazy these days and room looks like a junkyard
Oh, and I tottaly forgot I'm to give a speech tommorow

Since from my first day some lecturer asked a question and as usual I raised my hands to answer , the class went silent for some while as tho I just confessed my darkest secret which includes me being a murderer or a cannibal ............

Now I mention cannibals a lot , this is only because I fInd them ....I don't even want to talk about it

.............and the reason behind the silence was suprisingly because my answer turned out to be so correct and since from that day
That lecturer has had my name firdaus like he was the one that gave my ram out for Firdaus to be given to me

I say while stepping out of my room to wait at the entrance to go get some food
