Firdaus's pov

Waking up from sleep I strode off to the bathroom to freshen up and pray subhi
I sat down to suplicate and read the Qur'an , read it til I got satisfied That I've done my daily morning starter

Beep beep beep

That must be a notification for me
I stood up to go check and I saw
"Asalamualaikum "

From an unknown number ?
Then I type

"Waalaikum salaam "
"May I know who this is please ?"

Halima had slept off immediately after she prayed leaving me on the bed hoping I'd be able to sleep back
Until the notification disturbs me

"Umm...it's haneef "

Did I misread this message or am i dreaming?
Probably the latter because I have my glasses on and I can see clearly

How did he even get my number ?
But why ask when i have this girl sleeping right next to me
Halima is so going to get it

And now the sleep I had hope for has gone entirely...my eyes are as clear as ever

" haneef. How are you ?"
Who knew he'd be the person texting me by this time ?

"I'm fine alhamdullilah...how are you doing ? I hope halima isn't causing havoc "
I get his text really quick and oh he cares about halima not being typical with me

When he's not being typical with me

" I'm doing just fine and don't worry about halima...she's being a good girl😊"

Now what will he say ? This conversation is anything but normal

This Might be rude to him but i want to put some boundaries here

"Haneef...I've got some assignment due for tommorow and I have to go do them "

I see...he's looking forward to chatting me up again

Well..it wasn't that bad
Now I just have to stay up and wait for havoc to wake up

Haneefs pov

It was not a really long conversation I had with firdaus but the smile I had on my face couldn't wear off even after she said she was off to go do her assaignent , which I know was a big fat lie
She was just trying to avoid the chat , I guess she was uncomfortable with how i was talking

I also found it weird but i just couldn't help it...I was so happy talking to her

She has this new effect on me I can't exactly fathom

But its a nice feeling..

Well , we at least have a clean slate now

I sobered up from my firdaus situation and stood up to go get breakfast...I'm now a lonely man

Halima was looking at me with eyes wide as saucer

I don't blame her for saying I should repeat myself
Even I don't believe the words I'm saying right now

"Wow..and you didn't wake me up witness the epic moment ?"
God..her eyes are getting too big its starting to freak me out

"Okay first ..please do something while talking "
I look at my other side and I think the perfect idea is to send her off to brush

"Stand up and go brush "
She looked at me with her famous unbelievable look

"What? I'm trying to make this conversation normal...your eyes were so huge and I can't take it "

She then starts to laugh and hoped off the bed to go do what i asked for then she came back asking for what happened next

"I told him i had to go do my assignment because I found the way he was acting weird ...and oh , he called you havoc "
I mainly say the last part hoping she'd not focus on me lying to haneef

"You did what ?"
Well..I guess she didn't even hear the havoc part

I put my hands on my face now

"Well...he's going to talk again , that's the good part " she smiles and tottaly ignores me lying
" and you'd thank me later for making you guys talk , I just became the reason for the future union of two people "

She dreamily says

Union ? I hate to break it to her but we'll be nothing but friends
