"In California with my toes in the sand," he hummed, his body slowly swaying. I emerged from the corner I was hiding behind and smiled.
"Use the sleeves of my sweater," I sung. He turned around, a smirk playing on his lips. He approached me, intertw...

The bottle.
Landed.
On.
Me.
Faith wore a stupid grin on her face which I had the desire to literally swipe off with one of those scweegee looking things. The ones used to get the water off your shower glass. Yeah, those.
"No way," Dylan hissed. "Spin again."
I narrowed my eyes at him and parted my lips to say something but Faith beat me to it.
"The rules are rules, Dylan," she spat. "Get over it."
Jackson was tight-lipped silent as he looked at the bottle. His beachy-blonde hair was swept across his forehead the way it does when he looks down. I bit my lip, well-knowing that he wouldn't want to ki- meet our lips together in a romantic way.
"She's right," the blue-eyed boy shrugged and turned to me. It was convenient that we were already sitting next to each other, knee-to-knee.
He leaned over, taking a lead since I was recovering from the aftermath of the shock by staying frozen in place. His lips were naturally the color of peaches and obtained the softness of them as well. I finally gathered the courage to lean in and wrap my arms around his neck.
As his face inched closer to mine, my heart picked up speeds quicker than a category five hurricane. My stomach flipped while our lips finally connected.
His lips on mine were like no other. It was like the feeling when you see the sun rising after sitting in your room overnight. Or when you open your blinds for the first time in so long. It was seeing the first blossom of spring, after a harsh winter.
It was like kissing a piece of the sun. His arms around my waist was ten times better than that day on the field or the last day of summer. It felt as if I was truly meeting the brightest ray of sunshine and it pulled me into an unexpected embrace.
To my dismay, he pulled away. I felt empty without his touch. That made me realize how lovely being in love could really be, if just a kiss made me feel so electric.
Of all the days going to the beach and throwing around water, I never noticed how alone I was. I never experienced the touch that sent shivers curdling down my spine or the kiss that made my body feel like I was in the air.
Our eyes lingered at the sight of each other for a quick moment before we faced the nine teenagers. All their expressions differed from each other.
The three girls were gawking at us, as if they were in Once Upon a Time and had their heart ripped out by the Evil Queen herself. Faith and Ryan were giggling like little kids while Ryan held up his phone in our direction. Seymour, Alana, and Wren had amusing smirks lacing their lips.
