We stood at the car door while Jackson threw a tantrum about having to go to school. He seemed to be like the guy to fit right in with kids like Dylan, so I really didn't get what he was going on about.

Faith shot me an annoyed expression which I returned.

"Jackson," my best friend demanded. "Get out - now. We aren't gonna be late because of you."

Jackson reluctantly got out of the car and ran his fingers through his dull-gold hair. It was satisfying seeing his fingers glide through his locks with no problem - definitely a different sight from getting a hairbrush stuck in your hair because of all your knots.

"Speaking of which, I gotta go," I could practically see the sweat dripping down Faith's forehead. "I need to meet up with someone."

Before I could ask her who, she dashed off without a word. Jackson and I lingered around the car in silence.

"You wanna show me where I can get my schedule?" his voice came out humorous, but I cursed myself for forgetting.

"Right, sorry," I muttered. My mind trailed to what Faith could be up to right now and what she's hiding from me.

I began walking towards the building, disregarding my thoughts for a few moments. Jackson trailed behind me and I caught a glimpse of the girls eyeing him.

"What a hoe, already with the new kid," a tone which I could already pin it on who it belonged to - Briar Galaway. I'm not shaming her on her looks, but I'm sure she'd look better if she had a better personality .

If you know what I mean.

She had potential, to say the least. At last she exceeded the body standards of various Instagram models, but her actions degraded her overall presentation.

I'm seriously not trying to bash her or anything, but the girls a bitch!

"I'm sorry you have to witness Briar this early in the morning on your first day," I turned to the blonde-boy. "Something tells me it won't be your last interaction with her."

Briar batted her eyelashes at Jackson, and ran her finger down his chest . I cringed, being the supportive onlooker I am.

They exchanged a few words, sultry words might I add. I did my best to block it out.

"See you then," her red-waves swayed along her hips as she sashayed away. In a way, she resembled Jessica Rabbit.

"Look at you, getting it on with the most popular girl in school before even getting your schedule," I laughed.

"I mean, how can the ladies resist?" He wiggles his eyebrows to which I fake-gagged to.

"That tends to be my view," he pointed at my gagging and I ended up into a coughing fit. "That too."

"Gross," was all I managed to say as his laughter echoed through the room.

"Sierra, if you don't mind could you show him around?" Mrs. Brie, the guidance counselor, smiled at me.
