"In California with my toes in the sand," he hummed, his body slowly swaying. I emerged from the corner I was hiding behind and smiled.
"Use the sleeves of my sweater," I sung. He turned around, a smirk playing on his lips. He approached me, intertw...

"What is it about me that makes Jackson go after Alana?" I groaned and picked at the pimple forming on the side of my right cheek. Faith was flopped on her bed, scrolling through Instagram and showing me the occasional meme.
"Sierra," she whined. "Nothings wrong with you, it's his fault for being a blind motherfucker. Show him what he's missing out on," I could practically hear the grin forming on her lips.
"How do I do that?" my zit was now left alone as my attention focused on the wheels turning in my best friends head. Her eyes lit up. "Why am I nervous?"
She rolled her eyes, "don't be. I saw some sparks between you and Seymour. Y'all should hit it off." My face wrinkled in disgust. Seymour was a good, attractive guy but I didn't like like him. He was too Seymour-y. "You two did make a cute couple coming over and all."
I considered it, I really did. But even when he mentioned that I stayed over- Jackson didn't bat one eyelash. I needed to find someone who made him jealous and use that to my advantage. Boys would always use girls so what's the problem in returning the favor for a little?
"Dylan," I blurted. Faith looked at me with a huge grin. Her being with Ryan made her totally forget about that douche of a guy and maybe I could crack him enough to spill about what really happened with Faith. "I've seen how he gets under Jackson's skin."
"My evil genius is rubbing off on you," my best friend wiped a faux tear away from her eyes. "I have his number for you to text."
"I'll ask him to meet up tomorrow," I tossed my phone at Faith to type in the devils number. She did so and motioned for me to sit with her. "Okay, how do I start?"
She cleared her throat. "Hey baby, whatcha wearing?" I choked at the fake huskiness of her voice.
"I'm gonna," I grinned and started typing.
"No, idiot!" she cried and snatched the phone away from me.
"You're the one who suggested it!" I laughed.
"You have a point," she shrugged and continued to type. I watched her fingers swipe across the keyboard and a triumph smile spreading across her lips as she hit send. "Done!"
"What'd you say?" she shoved my phone in my face. I smacked my hand over my mouth. "Faith! I'm not going to meet up with him past ten."
"I'll come with," Faith shrugged. I sighed and nodded.
"Help me get ready since there's no way he's denying a girl asking to meet up at night," I snorted.
"Why is it so cold?" I tucked my jacket closer to my body. Faiths job was to frantically text me whenever a Jeep pulled into the park. "And why is that dickhead taking so long?"
