Chapter Eight- Danger

Albert's POV

"What do you mean they took it?!" I growled, my hand positioned at my ear as I leaned back into my chair. Failure was not something I could accept and when my plans have been interrupted, I felt nothing but irritation.

There was shuffling before Ada finally spoke. I anticipated her explanation as Ada was never one to fail.

"It means I don't have it Wesker, your a man of intelligence why don't you utilize it" she added and I stood, my teeth painfully gritted.

"Do extend this statement Ada" I growled, the hand resting at my side balling into a fist. One task and she fails it.

Her failing was equivalent to her placing a gun to my head and pulling the trigger. Not that I'd feel it.

"I was out numbered Wesker and you sent Jack elsewhere remember. There was no way I could take all those guys alone and Kennedy interfered" she explained and I my brows contracted.

"Kennedy?" I questioned. I should have known, Kennedy always knew how to spoil my plans.

"And another agent" she added swiftly but it was too late to take me away from Kennedy. Ada may be selfish but she had compassion for this agent.

Feelings...something I despised yet even in immortality you could not surpass it.

"That briefcase contains not only data on umbrella but it also instruct the holder how to you utilize the deadly virus Miss Wong" I hissed.

Whenever it came to Kennedy Ada always become reckless. Her actions now poses a deadly cost as this virus was now in the hands of god knows who. I pressed my teeth together, grazing my lower lip and tasting blood.

"I don't possess the abilities you do Wesker, the men knew I was coming and while you are invisible, I am not" she informed me in an acidic tone.

"If you could not retrieve the case I would not have appointed the task to you Miss Wong" I told Ada firmly. There was silence.

"However, you may redeem yourself miss Wong...we need to exclude the governments trail...you need to give Mr Kennedy and his friends another fish to go after" I continued.

"I am way ahead of you Albert, as we speak Mr Kennedy is on his way. You fail to inform me how I will convince our little friend?" She asked, I cocked my head.

Was that so?

"Biology defines you as a woman Ada, there lies your answer" I replied before hanging up. I had a ex employee to seek out and I was going for blood.

The man sensed another presence, his entire bodily gestures displayed this as he entered the dark room... Fear, something I like and fed upon all at the same time.

Humans...they lived and breathe fear.

He was about to flick the lights on when I stepped forward, asking the younger man not to do so.

"That would not be wise if I may add" I informed him, shoving my dark coat behind me with a raised finger.

He froze, his briefcase falling on the staircase but the moment he ran towards the phone was the moment I pressed him against the wall by the throat.

How tempting it was to break the bones that reside there.

"The woman you call wife would make a good sex toy and while I may not be human, I still know how to fuck" I snapped coldly, the man struggling for air beneath my hold. The man's eyes flew wide, I smirked.
