It's currently 11:30PM on April 5th, and I've been in school for a little over nine months and I still have not made any contact with the boy who remains nameless to me.
I've been trying to get up the nerve to say something to him. He's in all seven periods with me, he sits next to me in five of them, and still I don't know his name.
I have two months and one day to talk to him still.
I think I'm going to do it tomorrow.

"Jacquelyn, sweety it's time to get up for school." My mother said quietly.
"Okay. Thanks mom." I said.
I waited for her to close my door before getting out of bed. I have cuts on my thighs and I sleep in shorts because it gets quite hot at night.
When she left I walked to my closet and pulled out a pair of dark blue skinny jeans that had a few rips, a blue ruffled tanktop, and a white pullover. I walked to the bathroom attached to my room and turned on the shower. As I waited for it to heat up I looked out the window and saw the boy with no name.
The nameless boy looked up at my window and saw me watching him, and stopped. I gave him a smile and waved, but he just looked away and started walking again.
I got in the shower and washed up. When I was finished I dried, got dressed, and straightened my blonde/blue hair. I walked out into my room to see the nameless boy sitting on my bed.
"Hello?" I asked him.
"Hi, sorry." He said standing up.
"Can I ask how and why you're in my bedroom?" I asked again.
"Your mom let me in. I told her I was a friend." He said. "I see you around a lot. At school, in public." He added.
"Yeah, you're in all of my periods at school. I-i didn't get your name?" I said confused as why he was here, in my bedroom, in my house.
"Shawn, Shawn Mendes." He said extending his arm to me.
"Jacquelyn Bro-"
"Jacquelyn Brooks, I know who you are." He said cutting me off and shaking my hand.
"What are you doing here? You literally just rejected me 20 minutes ago." I asked.
"You know, Jacquelyn, we're not all that different. Sure, you have friends, you're never alone, but in the end we're both sad. No matter what we say to other people. We both have the same scars, and cuts. We both know how to hide it, but I know when someone is like me, and you are one of those people." He said walking toward me.
"How do you know?" I asked again, tears brimming my eyes.
This guy is just walking into my house and acting like he knows me. I've never said a word to him, but he knows more about me than my own mother.
"Your smile might not look fake to other people, but sweety, that's the fakest smile I've ever seen." He said stepping back away from me. "See you at school, Jacquelyn." He said smiling and walking out.
I wiped my tears and waited for my cheeks to turn back to their normal color. After about 10 minutes I walked downstairs, grabbed my PINK backpack that had anchors and blue sparkles on it, said goodbye to my mom, and started walking to school. I took out my headphones and plugged them into my iPhone 5 and turned on 'Amnesia' by 5 Seconds Of Summer. I takes about 30 minutes for me to talk to school but I don't really mind.
When I finally reached school I shoved my headphones into my backpack and put my phone in my back pocket. I went upstairs at the second floor, where the sophmore classes are, and went to my locker. I put my backpack in and grabbed my books for my first period, algebra two, ew.
"Jaaaack!" I heard a familiar voice say behind me.
"Kaaaat! Omg, hi!" I said back.
Kaitlynn, Kat, has been my best friend since daycare. She's the same height as me, she has blonde hair, but it's longer than mine, and her eyes are more like an ocean blue. She's gorgeous.
"What's up?" She almost squealed.
She was on vacation for two weeks and today's her first day back since.
"Nothing really. How was the Cali life?" I asked with a huge smile.
When I asked that, Shawn, walked past. He smiled, shook his head and mouthed the words "so fake". I ignored him and didn't even realize, Kaitlynn, was talking.
"That's great! I bet the guys were h-o-t-t." I said with a giggle.
"Oh yeah! I forgot. I met this guy, His name is Cameron. He's so nice, and hot." She said jumping up and down.
"I bet. hey I have to get to first period. Talk to you at lunch." I said hugging her and walking off.
When I got to class, Shawn, was sitting in his normal seat, which happens to be next to me.
So much for talking to the kid, but hey now I don't have to worry about doing it.
