After reading Shawns, letter I laid in bed until about 6:30PM, I didn't really want to do anything, I was tired, and sad. I tried to sleep but the thought of everything that happened today kept me awake.
*buzz buzzzz buzzzzzzz*
my phone buzzed about ten times before I picked it up. Shawn, was calling.
"Hello." I said.
"Hi, I just wanted to check on you." He said.
I could feel the smile on his face, I didn't want to upset him.
"I'm fine." I said cheerfully.
"That's great. I'm going to be home soon so do you want me to pick you up?" He asked.
"Uhm, yeah sure. Text me when you're on your way." I replied.
"Okay, bye Jacquelyn."
"Jacquelyn?!" I heard Aaliyah say in the back.
"Tell her I said hi. I'll see you both later." I said.
"Bye." He said again and hung up.
I had two text messages.
Maddie: "hey jack I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to come off like that, I hope you forgive me. Love you girly."
Kaitlynn: "Why were you being such a bitch? you didn't even let me finish. I didn't mean it like that but whatever."
I replied to Maddie.
Jack: "I know you and Taylor didn't but idk about Kaitlynn and Ally.. ily girl."
Mads: "yeah, kat is always bringing people down like that. I'll talk to you later ok?"
Jack: "ok, byee."
I locked my phone and rolled over. I drifted off to sleep.
"Jacquelyn." I heard a male voice say quietly.
"Jacquelyn!" they said again but louder.
I opened my eyes and Shawn was standing there.
"I forgot. I'm so sorry." I said getting up and fixing my hair.
I grabbed my shoes and put them on.
"It's fine." He said laughing.
"Why are you laughing? Is there something in my face?" I said worried.
"Come here." He said pulling me to him.
He told me to turn around so I did. He french braided my hair, and wiped the smeared makeup off my face.
"You can braid hair?" I asked amazed.
"I do have a 10 year old sister." He said shrugging.
We walked downstairs, I left a note for my mom, then got in the car. Aaliyah had one window seat, I was in the middle, Shawn had the other window seat, and his parents were in front.
"Hi, Jacquelyn!" Aaliyah said taking out her ear buds.
"Hey Aaliyah, how are you?" I asked smiling at her.
I was so much taller than her even sitting down.
"I'm good! Your hair is cute!" She replied.
"Thanks, Shawn did it." I said laughing.
"I'm the best I know." He said butting in.
Aaliyah and I rolled our eyes.
"You two could be sisters, with thay eye roll there's no doubt about it." Shawn said laughing.
