Lucy's birthday is approaching, so everything is basically about her. All week long. She expects birthday cards all week because she doesn't really care about the presents. As long as people are celebrating her during the seven days of the week, she'll be happy.

It made me laugh when she told me that, how it's this way every year. I only get one day of worship, and I only receive one or two gifts with at least twenty dollars. And I have no idea how she doesn't care about presents. I take whatever I'm given, and I always expect presents on my birthday.

So when it comes to birthdays, we're the complete opposite. And I've never known anyone who only cared about birthday cards . . .

Natsu Dragneel

This week was Lucy's birthday. That meant she was going to throw a party. The year before, she had invited all the incoming freshmen and sophomores. Now, she was inviting everyone.

That's right. Her house was going to be packed. But that is why her father has a large cabin on a nearby lake. Natsu has gone on vacation with her many times to the cabin, and it was huge. The place was so beautiful, Natsu would rather have Lucy's party at his own place rather than that cabin. Sadly, his home was smaller than her own house, and there was no way Zeref would approve of it.

Natsu stared at his invitation text message. It explained the name—obviously Lucy Heartfillia—, date, and location. It also had a side message saying how much people she invited and wishing that they could make it. She provided a picture of her blowing out sixteen candles. Natsu knew that picture. It was from the year before. He knew it because he took it.

There were originally fifteen candles on that cake, but the one in the middle was obviously photoshopped. The rosette smiled and stared at the picture of his friend, shaking his head. Lucy could be extra sometimes.

Natsu texted Lucy, saying that Sting, Gajeel, and him would definitely be there. Either way, the other two most likely got the text as well. Lucy replied with a smiley face and two thumbs up. The party would be the next day, and he had to get ready.

Gray's face lit up when he received Lucy's birthday invite. He was actually invited, and to be honest, he couldn't believe it.

The year before, Lucy had invited every ongoing freshmen and sophomore before school got out, so for a whole month, that was the one thing everyone was talking about. Everyone except for him, at least. He didn't get invited because no one really noticed him. Except for his brother, sister, and Juvia. But she was no exception because he never talked to her.

The party was at a rented building, which was pretty awesome. The place had a skating rink and an arcade. It might've not looked like it, but her father invested a lot of money. If she asked for something, he would literally get it for her.

But Lucy wasn't greedy, and that's a good thing.

Gray read the details of the text message, and laughed at the picture of Lucy blowing out candles. For some reason, he thought she only took the picture for the invitation. But it was odd that she looked . . . younger.

The raven's face lit up even more when he saw Natsu's text message only moments later, asking if he needed a ride to the party. That meant that if Natsu was going, then Gray would have to look his absolute best!

A few days ago, Gray got a chance to kiss Natsu. Except the rosette was asleep and the kiss was planted on his cheek. However, it made Gray more confident because he saw a slight change in Natsu. How he smiled more every time he saw the raven haired male. How he complimented him the other day when he saw Gray's recent Instagram post. Natsu even adds some smiley faces at the end of a few of his texts.
