It was obvious Loke and I were plotting something. Although I felt terrible when Natsu kissed me and said he didn't feel anything, I also already knew it was coming. And when I spilled everything to Loke, the guy got down to business.
Oh, and we weren't plotting everything on our own . . .
Lucy Heartfillia
Lucy scribbled down notes on a napkin she had found in her mini purse. She was listening to everything Mirajane Strauss—the school's Cupid—was explaining about matchmaking. "Matchmaking is about their goals, values, and their families," the silver haired female said to Lucy as she slurped on a smoothie she had received from the food court in the town mall. Strawberry banana, her favorite kind.
Before Lucy could say anything, Mira shifted her hand up to Lucy's mouth, a kind smile spreading across the lower half of her face.
"As much as I wish it were possible, you can't force two people to get together. So if it doesn't work out, there are other fish in the sea you can work with," Mira winked. Lucy placed her pen down on the table, refusing to write that down. There was no way this match wasn't going to work. It had to at all circumstances.
"May I ask who you're trying to pair?"
The blonde hadn't really thought Mira would be curious enough to actually ask who Lucy wanted to put together. Though, it was Mirajane Strauss. Even though it was like she knew everything, she still had small details to make out.
"I'm afraid that's classified information," Lucy replied, looked down at her fingers, a nervous smile appearing. She began to wonder what would happen if she actually told the silver haired female sitting across from her about Gray and Natsu. Even if she was the school's Cupid who knew almost everything about everyone, she loved to gossip about something new that happened everyday. You had to stay cautious around her.
"If it's classified, then my lips are sealed!" Mira made a zipping motion against her lips and pretended to throw an imaginary key somewhere. But Lucy was so over that since fourth grade. She knew that when the person wasn't looking, you could go and pick the imaginary key up and spill your guts to the closest person.
Lucy smirked and rolled her eyes, staring down at the word-covered napkin sitting in front of her.
"So, where's your partner in crime? I figured he would be helping you out with this," Mira asked, mixing her smoothie with her bright blue straw. There were a few frozen pieces here and there, but she would eventually smooth it out.
"Loke? Oh, he's somewhere around here. He said he would be back about fifteen minutes ago. If you want, I can go look-"
"No, no no! I'm talking about the pink haired kid. Natsu . . . Yeah, Natsu! Where is that guy, I love him!" Mirajane leaned forward in her seat, a large smile replacing the smaller one. Except Lucy hasn't really talked to Natsu in a couple days. To be honest, she was also pretty surprised he hadn't called her.
"Oh, Natsu . . . Well, you see . . ."
"Oh my goodness!" Mira squealed, placing a hand to her lips and bouncing up and down in her seat obnoxiously. "You're matching him up with someone!" Another squeal. "Oh my goodness, who is it?"
Lucy shook her head, shaking her hands in the air. "No! I already gave you way too much info!"
Mira frowned and folded her arms, a mischievous smirk replacing her recent frown. She raised a silver eyebrow, which made Lucy curious as to what she was going to say next. The blonde could've sworn her deep blue eyes sparkled with something devilish.
