I think I know now . . .
Natsu Dragneel
And it was the truth. He did think he knew. And that's all he was going to write, because if he looked back over it in the future then he would know exactly what he was talking about. It's just that simple.
How he felt nothing during Lucy's kiss, but something during Gray's kiss. That spark had made his world different, just like in his dream. Maybe Lucy was right, her suggesting that since he and Gray were extremely close after two-and-a-half months . . . it was worth it. It was time to pick up Natsu's schedule for junior year. The rosette's head was laying against the passenger seat window. He dreaded seeing the school come into view. Wendy mumbled unintelligible words when she looked outside her window.
The bluenette was going along because Zeref had offered Porlyusica that he would take Wendy to pick up her seventh grade schedule. The old woman agreed, saying that she had tons of errands to run. She then smacked both Zeref and Natsu out of her house with a broom while waving goodbye to Wendy.
Zeref pulled into a parking spot. The lot wasn't really full, but there was a large line that started when they reached the entrance. One that ended outside the doors.
Natsu face palmed knowing that this was going to be a long day. When he came to pick up his schedule the year before, it was just like going in and out the bathroom if you walked in on someone. Freshman year, however, was worse than the line they had now.
His grade had more students than any other grade had—about fifty more students compared to the second highest grade in the entire school district. All you literally could see was freshmen and their parents in line. There weren't as much upperclassmen in the line that year.
The line started to move a couple feet in, and the trio got to a point where they were inside the school. Natsu eagerly tapped his foot against the granite tile, waving at a few of his classmates whom he had not seen all summer. Wendy was too busy reading the posters that are never updated during the school year to notice that the line was moving yet again. Zeref grabbed her shoulder and together they walked side by side.
Natsu bit his lip when he saw a girl smile at him. He didn't know her, and he had never seen her in his entire life. She had curly brown hair and tan skin. She wore a revealing black tank top and a pair of blue jean shorts. What really drawn Natsu to her was her purple eyes. They were most likely colored contacts. It was funny because she seemed a bit disturbed when her dad grew clingy on her. Natsu turned away before he could notice the rosette staring.
The office windows came into view, and Natsu then knew why the line was moving quickly. There were four secretaries in the office. The rosette raised an eyebrow, because normally there was only one or two during the weekdays.
"Do you have any idea what classes you're taking?" Zeref asked Natsu. He was eager to get this over with. He clearly was impatient about the whole process as well.
Natsu placed a finger to his chin as he tried to recall what classes he had signed up for. "I know I'm taking English." Zeref and Wendy both turned around slowly, both of their arms crossed. The only difference between them was that Wendy had a large smile resting upon her lips while Zeref wore a large, frustrated frown.
"Of course you're taking that class . . . It's required, brother!" Zeref hissed, making Natsu jump backwards only enough to brush against the person behind him. Natsu quickly apologized while the random lady gave him a disgusted look before turning around to face the people behind her.
Wendy had relaxed her arms, both of them to her sides. Zeref glances at his watch, then turned to Wendy and asked calmly, "What classes are you taking?"
