Chunin Exams Part 10: Lets Battle

Aki POV

"Ugh," I groaned as I flushed the toilet to the bathroom

Today, the battles of the chunin exams... woohoo... hint hint sarcasm... Keiko was already long gone, while I stayed home, throwing up, ugh.

I got sick with some type of stomach virus and I've constantly been in the bathroom, I know gross. I've been pretty weak and pale and cold and everything. Keiko insisted on staying and miss out on the battles but I didn't let her. I stayed home alone, puking, fun.

I wanted to go and support my friends, but now way am I gonna walk and pass out in the middle of the road.

I walked over to the living room, and I turned on the TV and watched something to keep me entertained...

I wonder how the battles are going, hows fighting who, who won, who flew out the arena...

All these thoughts circled my head, I sighed in defeat as I watched TV, till my thoughts over came me.

The more time passed the more my thoughts over came me. It's been a while since my encounter with Kabuto, and it's been eating at me.

Do I really want to go with Orochimaru? Why was I given the curse mark? Why? Why? Why?

I was frustrated, and I didn't know who to talk to. I haven't seen Gaara since then either, I wonder what he's thinking about.

I was gonna go to the arena where the chunin exams were being held... even if I throw up my guts out.

Keiko POV

"Okay Sasuke you're gonna do this really cool entrance and Keiko you're gonna blah blah blah," Kakashi said as my thoughts wondered off.

He really wants to be extra with this, and it's completely unnecessary if I'm being honest.

"Kakashi, is this really necessary? I mean we can easily just go in and wait with the rest of the people." I said as I placed my hands on my hips.
"We gotta be intense, many people came out to watch, so we gotta be impressive," he said.
"Sasuke, you're really on bored with this?" I asked.
"Hn."

I rolled my eyes, this is stupid. I go up against with the weird dude Kankuro. He gives me the creeps. While Kakashi and Sasuke talked about their plan to look cool I decided that I'd just go in myself.

I went in and I found Naruto.

"Oi! Keiko... where's Aki?" Naruto asked.
"Home sick," I said.
"Ah not good. Kakashi Sensei and Sasuke?"

My eye twitched.

"Somewhere over the rainbow," I said as my eye continued to twitch.

Naruto titled his head in confusion.

"Em don't worry about it, good luck with the battle with Neji," I said.
"Heheh thanks, I'm gonna win, Believe it!" Naruto exclaimed. "Good luck with Kankuro... he's a weird one."
"Eheheh yeaaaahhh," I said as I rubbed the back off my head.

"All of you, stand still and face forward towards the guest, for all of you are the starts of this years Chunin Exam!" The proctor dude said.

The stadium was filled with people from all over, eager to see who would win the matches. Many people already knew who I was, the girl who went bonkers during the preliminaries... at least I made a name for myself.

Sasuke wasn't here... man I'm only assuming he's gonna do the 'cool' entrance like Kakashi Sensei was telling him to do. At least I got out of it.

"Hey! Sasuke isn't here, what about him?" Naruto asked.
"If he doesn't arrive for his own match he'll lose by forfeit," the proctor responded.

Oh he'll be here on time

"This is the last exam as you all know. You fight each other till there's one standing, simple as that." The proctor said.

We all nodded and grew serious.

"All right... match one, Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyūga, you two stay down here. The rest of you wait for your match," The proctor said.

We cleared the bottom of the arena, as Neji and Naruto stayed.

"Match one, Begin!"

Man I wish Aki was here to see her manz fight... this was gonna be one intense battle.

Aki POV

"It was stupid of me to go out the house," I groaned as I walked slowly to the arena.

I was extremely weak, I wasn't even sure if I was going to make it before I pass out on the street. I was using a wall as support and threw up some chunks along the way. I wanted to see my friends fight badly.

I assumed the first battle had started or at least in the middle of it. I was super slow, but I was far enough from my house and close enough to the arena. So close yet so far.

I heard cheers not far from where I was, the battles must be going great. Loud cheers like from a super bowl or the World Cup. I can tell It was an intense battle. I continued walking and stumbling. Keiko is gonna hate me for walking out the house.

Keiko POV

The battle was intense. Neji was kinda trash talking on Naruto. Telling him to give up, how his dreams are a fantasy. It pissed me off to be honest, but the words Neji said gave Naruto more power and will to keep fighting.

Neji was obviously winning and had the advantage, but Naruto had emotional strength.

Neji then went on to talk about his past, ya know the cliche in many battles. It was interesting but not at the same time, I just wanted to get my fight over with. I didn't pay much attention to it and sat on the floor thinking about food.

Then I felt a rush of chakra which had my jolt up to my feet.

I look down to see Naruto started producing chakra again, which I don't understand since Neji blocked his chakra points. It was something dark... the power, didn't seem like Naruto.

What seemed to be Red tails swirled around him, fueling chakra and healing his wounds.

He was scary looking...

Neji and Naruto continued to fight and my god was Naruto strong. He slammed Neji hard down.

Now Neji was the submissive one.

Everything happened so fast than all I see is Neji on the ground.

I stared at what happened as the proctor announced Naruto as the winner. I really should've been paying attention to the match.

Naruto flashed a peace sight at the crowd, I smirked of how happy he was. And clapped along with the rest of the crowd.

I plopped back down on the floor waiting for my match.

Aki POV

"IM ALMOST THERE!!!"
