The End Of The Past, The Beginning Of The Future

Keiko POV

"You asked for me?" I asked.
"Yes, let me get straight to the point, I want you to be my student," Tsunade asks.
"What?"
"Yes, I've been thinking and I want you to be my apprentice, I won't take no for an answer."

"Why ask me now?" I asked.
"Well I've noticed your gifted medical ninjutsu, now is a good time to start training you more."
"B-but I was gonna ask her if she would come to train with Jiraiya and me!" Naruto wined.
"She'll be coming with me," Tsunade said.
"Old lady! She's coming with me!"

I sweatdropped...

Tsunade and Naruto bickered on who would take me for training. Training was going to be for 3 years.

"AHHHH NO!" Naruto shrieked. "She's my girlfriend! She should come with me!!!"
"Oh, since when were you a ladies man? Keiko why?" Tsunade said.

My eye twitched. The two kept bickering causing me a major headache. That's when an idea came Into mind.

"Hey! It's three years right? I'll do half with Naruto and half with Tsunade... I pick up stuff quickly anyway," I suggested.

The two looked at me and calmed down. Tsunade got off her desk and Naruto stood beside me.

"Good idea, we'll have her one year and a half each," Tsunade said. "You sure?"
"It'll be good for me... I can get stronger, avoid falling into evil," I said sternly.

Naruto gave me a bright smile.

"You will get stronger!" He exclaimed.

I smiled, it's been a while since I did that. It felt nice. Even if it felt nice... my hatred remains.

"We leave soon so go pack," Naruto said.
"Don't loose track of time Souta... I'll be waiting," Tsunade said.

I nodded and quickly ran to my apartment to go pack.

Word spread quickly that we were gonna go train away for awhile, it excited me. Time away from the village with my favorite person in the world.

I grabbed a backpack and packed basic necessities. I looked back at the picture of Team 7 and decided to take it with me.

I heard a knock at my door and quickly went to answer it.

"Yo."
"Kakashi Sensei, come in," I said and I directed him into my home.
"How are you doing?" He asked and he walked in.
"Better."
"I heard you're going to train with Naruto and Jiraiya for some time."

I nodded, and gave me a closed eyed smile and pat my head.

"Be careful kiddo. I know our team is falling apart, it'll be like that for a while. It'll get better Kay?" Kakashi Sensei said reassuringly.

I nodded with a slight smile and hugged him tightly.

"I'll come back stronger than ever!" I said enthusiastically.

Kakashi Sensei led me to the village gates where I see all of my friends standing there. My heart warmed up.

I see Naruto and Jiraiya standing there waiting for me.

"Well let's head off... we got lots to do," Jiraiya said.

I nodded and said my goodbyes to everyone. Well I had to pull someone aside...

"Wait... Neji... talk to me privately real quick?" I asked.

He nodded and we stepped aside.

"I know I haven't talk about her much... but she wanted me to you something," I said.

Neji's eyes widened.

I think back to Aki's words.

"Tell him I love him back... and I'm sorry."

"She said... she loves you... and she's sorry," I said.

Neji's smiles dropped to a sad one.

"I'm sorry I couldn't bring her back," I said.
"No no... I'll have her back... I know so... I'm not helpless. I'll see her again one day... and she'll tell me herself, thanks," Neji said.

I nodded and turn back to Jiraiya and Naruto.

"Lets go boys... time for a new adventure!" I exclaimed.

Jiraiya and Naruto smirked... and we left.

"This isn't gonna be easy, and Keiko will you be okay returning back to the village alone?" Jiraiya asked.
"Yes," I said with a smile.
"Heh, yes!" Naruto shouted.

I'll be back Konoha...

Somewhere else...

Third Person POV

"How much damage?"
"Quite a bit... I want to experiment on different villages."
"You've become quite evil since you came."
"Yeah, that isn't good. But it fits me more ya know."
"You sure? you don't have too."
"I want to... they'll all know my name... I'll be the savior."

"You're definitely a Heikima."
"Ace, so are you... square up."
"Heheh okay okay."
"You've done more killing that I have... it should all be good."
"Kill to protect?"

"Exactly...
