USM: Tag Book, Headcanon Storage, and Rant Room

Rant Room #1

I decided to add some of the rants and headcanons from my Tumblr.

Sometimes I just sit down and think about Peter before he joined SHIELD.

Like, waking up from a nightmare in cold sweat after his first major villain fight, trying to keep down his sobs and screams because Aunt May doesn't know about Spider-Man yet, and she's literally down the hall.

Sneaking in through the window at night, hissing under his breath as he hurries to the bathroom to take care of his injuries. Having to use paper towels and old shirts as bandages once he realizes he already used up all of his real bandages. 

Going to school and trying to hide his injuries from teachers and students. Making up excuses to get out of doing P.E and avoiding gym shorts and loose shirts because he can't hide bandages under those. 

Getting pushed around by Flash and having his wounds reopened. Keeping a neutral expression till he can get to the bathroom to patch them up again - and even then he has to wait to make sure no one else is around. 

Walking next to Harry and MJ outside of school, and just freezing completely when he hears sirens in the distance.

Dodging all of Mary Jane's questions because she's noticed some of the bandages, and he doesn't want to blame Flash for fear that they'd try and verify the story.

Having to dog-down his metabolism and eat the same as everyone else, even though half the time he's starving because he can't get enough to eat, 'cause suddenly downing 3x as much food as he's supposed to will catch people's attention.

Coping with Uncle Ben's death on his own as Spider-Man by going on crime-busting sprees, and finally convincing himself that it wasn't his fault, despite his own mind telling him it is.

Sometimes I make myself sad.
