Kayla woke up at the back of the Impala covered with an all too familiar red flannel shirt over her. A soft grunt escaped her lips as she pushed herself up "aaawww! look who decided to wake up!" Said a peachy Dean looking at the rear view window mirror with a grin "morning bunny!" Sam said through a soft smile as she woke up. She squeezed her eyes and opened them wide again to bring back her vision "how long was I out?" she asked "approximately.. 6 hours" Sam chimed making her let out a breathy exhale "damn it! I was supposed to call a friend of mine like 5 hours ago" she took out her phone and it clearly shown that she was right: 

Jake: 

23 missed calls. 17 messages. 3 voice messages. 

Kayla pressed on the first voice message: 

Grasped breaths "Kayla. Please. help me. I think someone entered my house. Can you make it?"

Kayla's eyes were starting to get worried before she played the other one. 

"Kayla!! There's definitely something in my house!! Help me! AAHHH"  A grunt along with a stab of something was heard making Kayla's eyes get covered with fear

Kayla's breath hitched before another voice message came. 

"He was a handsome one dear. Shame. You have a week for you Winchesters to give me what's mine. buh bye" BEEEEEEPPPP

Kayla's body just froze...completely froze. "no" she whispered. Dean glanced back at her "kitty, you ok?" Kayla just frowned not saying a word "Kayla?" Dean asked again giving short glances in the mirror and focusing on the road... She still hadn't say a word "Kayla!!!!" Dean now yelled practically with Sam being worried for his twin. "um..." Kayla said "I... um... Did you guys find a case?" "uuhh yeah. A man called Jake Hummel. Died impaled. why?!" Kayla just held her sobs before her eyes shown glassy tears and kept quiet "alright! awesome!" she said not sounding like herself. The males shared concerned looks at each other and just stayed quiet knowing that it's not worth talking. she's a Winchester after all. "Alright let's suit up." they arrived at the motel and they got dressed In their FBI agent costume. "I swear you 2. I can't not stop thinking 'fuck! I need to protect these from being taken away by girls'" they both chuckle at that "to be honest... Likewise" Dean said adjusting his tie "wait. Hold on" Kayla said going up to him and fixing his tie. "there you go. And seriously though instead of hunters, you 2 should be models" she said through a joke "I don't know about Sammy here, but I accept your offer, kitty" Kayla laughed and grinned at forgetting who the victim of his case was for a brief second.

The second they arrived at the crime scene Kayla just stared at the house for a minute as flashbacks came back.

 
"Kayla!!  Hey Kayla!" Jake ran after her on her way to her car when she was going to her home. Kayla turned and chuckled still walking to her land rover, "what is it Jake?!" "You know uh... I noticed someone checking you out at work" he said to her in a comic flirtatious tone in her voice. She laughed squeezing her eyes and shaking her head "oh. Is that so? And who might that be?" "I will tell you if you do my one favour" "what is it?" "Take a damn break from here have fun! Go with some friends. I'll take your shift! Please! You work too much!" Kayla sighed and shook her head "seriously?!  That's your favour?" "Yes! Please!" the guy begged through his cute puppy black eyes and always gelled black hair. She sighed and looked at him "fine! Who is it?" he smirked "our Manager. James Marshal." "seriously?  That guy is way over my league. Come on!" "Hey! I'm not lying! I see when a guy is looking at a girl" she sighed and shook her head "you're unbelievable" she breathed at him "Hey come on! One date with him!" he practically begged "he didn't ask me!" she asked with a hitched squeal "but he will tomorrow! I'm certain! and you will say yes" "But!" "no buts!" she grunted and just playfully slapped his chest "you're difficult to work with and talk to" "I know. Now. Go and relax at home." "actually I was gonna find a part time job" "oh hell no! Kay-bear! You're fine here! Go home I will hack you if you don't" "jeez!! Alright i'm going! I'm going!" "Love you sis!" Jake said back, she grinned and hugged "love you too Jakie!" she gave him a peck of a kiss on his cheek and left in her land rover off to her home.
